The Ravenous Queer Harpies of Islandwalk is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Captain Ærstaphael with an iron fist, and notable for its compulsory military service, ban on automobiles, and devotion to social welfare. The compassionate, cynical, devout population of 3.068 billion Islandwalkians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.
The enormous, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Welfare, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Camp Choa Kang. The average income tax rate is 70.9%, and even higher for the wealthy.
The sizeable but stagnant Islandwalkian economy, worth 46.3 trillion Spades a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is highly specialized, is mostly made up of the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Basket Weaving. Average income is 15,104 Spades, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.
Violet blesses the rains down in The North Pacific, political scientists despair as the national mascot election eclipses all others in voter enthusiasm, cars have been banned, and children keel over while singing "Captain Ærstaphael Gives Us the Water of Life". Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Islandwalk's national animal is the Harpy, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Siren's creed.
Islandwalk is ranked 63,312th in the world and 858th in The North Pacific for Highest Drug Use, scoring 248.42 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
