The Federal Republic of Valemora is a massive, genial nation, ruled by the Chief Emric Lucien Caelmont with a fair hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls, smutty television, and rampant corporate plagiarism. The compassionate, democratic population of 1.345 billion Valemorans love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The large, socially-minded, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aurivienne. The average income tax rate is 79.9%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Valemoran economy, worth 159 trillion ℳ minats a year, is quite specialized and dominated by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Tourism. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 118,699 ℳ minats, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Mantis shrimp studies is academia's fastest-growing field, immersive video game experiences are interrupted by incessant disclaimer pop-ups, frequent fliers are obliged to submit to invasive security procedures by government security, and nobody is allowed to mention what religion terrorists follow. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Valemora's national animal is the raven, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is no religion and respects all beliefs.

Valemora is ranked 17,103^rd in the world and 366^th in the South Pacific for Highest Average Tax Rates, with 79.94 Effective Tax Rate.
