Stan Freberg?

In other news, I just answered an issue with an option that explicitly said it was about ‘giving the taxpayers a break’, chose that option, and the game has raised my nation’s taxes. 🙁

While I don't have any specific issues I recall by name, I'm fairly certain things like this have happened from time to time to me. I have no doubt there is a concerted effort to cause issues to have slightly different or unintended consequences, although this one sounds a little extreme to me. I suppose an irrational person might argue that a break for taxpayers could mean a variety of things such as broken bones, a nice afternoon siesta or a trip to McDonald's. Sadly, the issues writers and editors are mostly irrational and/or have a rather disturbing sense of humor.

I remember it well...along with his personal recommendations for both Sominex and Geritol.

This was just prior to me annoying the rest of my family (I was the youngest of 5 siblings) by singing along to the "Good Night" song at the end of each show, where I also learned my first words in Spanish, French and German! Riveting stuff, that!
