After transcending the nebula and navigating through the asteroid regions, the long-distance lightspeed engine was fully utilized for maximum efficiency. CALS identified foreign signals with functioning radio broadcast technology and intercepted specific frequencies that led to the discovery of New Ardes.

The Tower of Galactica ordered the Quantum Phase Fleet to stand by and not engage until a decision from the General-Secretary himself was given.
