Land's End is an independent, neutral region, centered around the unrestricted exchange of goods and ideas. It is intended as a home for capitalist-leaning nations, although all are welcome. We believe in quality over quantity, not getting offended, and the idea that nobody has ever received a free lunch.

Our highly unique structure sets us apart from other regions. We are organized as a public corporation, run by a CEO and Board of Directors, most of whom are elected by our shareholders. Sound interesting? We recommend you join the World Assembly and our LinkDiscord chat to get started!

Ambassadors: Please read this before requesting embassies.

Proudly serving you since March 17th, 2017. Do NOT use this region as puppet storage.

Greetings fellow national leaders!

I the leader of Wajuti have joined this region to focus on industry. My goal is to dominate the only industry that truly matters, Human Resources, or chattel slavery.

If you need low cost cotton or sugar or metals, you can always import from Wajuti. Also if you want females for your harems we have your supply.

You may also be interested in our thriving futures market that deals in slave-based futures.

I'm always interested in slave-based futures. Are your slaves healthy?

My country produces much cotton, but no sugar.... and i do like sugar :)

It depends which ones. There is a hierarchy you see.

The ones sent to the mines may be healthy, but do not remain so for long. The same applies to a lesser extent to the ones working in the fields and factories. Really the healthiest ones in the long run are the ones working the harems and brothels.

Important!

  • It is imperative that as many nations as possible in Lands End joins the World Assembly. It is also just as imperative that once you joint the World Assembly, you endorse every other nation with WA status in Lands End, especially our WA delegate, Bluximburg. This is for the good of the region and the Augustin Alliance as a whole! Any questions should be directed to the regional message board.

News

  • Following a vote by the AA Tier One officials, the Augustin Alliance has leveled sanctions upon the region of Aukumnia. The AA's External Sanctions policy and list is located here check it out or either join the Linkdiscord for more details.

  • The AA's Linkdiscord server has gone through an overhaul, check out all of the changes and tell us what you think! Lands End has also been given it's own RP server which will hopefully be used in the future.

  • Lands End is now back up to 15th place for most World Assembly endorsements, lets see how long we can keep it there and if we can get it even higher.

World Assembly News

  • The Security Council recently passed Condemn The Pacific, meaning that The Pacific is now condemned! The Pacific is trying to play it off as a badge of honor but we'll see for how long they can keep that act up.

  • Sadly the Lands End created "Repeal "Don't Kill The Poor Act"" was recently dismissed from the General Assembly after it did not gain enough delegate approvals, however Bluximburg will be working on a redraft shortly!

Whoops just outlawed the internet by sheer accident.

That was one of my first issues and I also banned the internet but it was by no means an accident.

I think Oil and Gas is still the best form of energy in terms of overall effectiveness and efficiency. We would like to think that renewable energy sources are sustainable, but in reality, they are not (at least not right now). Our technology still needs development in terms of storing energy for renewables. We don't see electric passenger airplanes or electric military vehicles because renewables lack overall power, effectiveness, and durability. Tesla for example has done well in developing the first electric sports car (evidence of power), but their cars need frequent servicing, has a limited range, takes forever to charge, and is prone to technical issues (less compelling evidence on effectiveness). Additionally, renewable energy is not always "green." The use of batteries and solar panels have depleted rare earth materials, etc. I think nuclear power is a good sustainable alternative, but there is an element of volatility, and that element is does not present itself in O&G, which is why you don't see nuclear powered cars being developed. As such, I think overall O&G is still the best form of energy for now.
