Invasion Of Zimbabwe

In order to secure the last of South Africa, King Eli is now focusing his sights on annexing Zimbabwe, the last large independent country in South Africa.

Negotiations failed, and the leader of Zimbabwe expelled all Celestial diplomats from Zimbabwe and used his military to capture the Embassy and imprison all the staff working there, including the Celestial ambassador.

Enraged by this, King Eli ordered the military to position themselves on the border. The leader of Zimbabwe denied 2 ultimatums demanding the release of the Celestial personnell.

Following this, King Eli ordered the military to invade Zimbabwe.

The new 5th Marine regiment, 1st Marine regiment, 7th infantry division, 34th infantry division, 12th infantry division, 7th armored division and the 4th armored division crossed the border into Zimbabwe. The 2nd and 1st airborne division dropped in the south of the country, inorder to disrupt the Zimbabwean military. The 4th Air Wing bombed numerous military installations and industry.

The 5th Marines, 34th infantry, and 4th armored(army group A) broke thru Zimbabwean lines at the towns of Chirundu and Victoria falls, and began advancing into the country.

Meanwhile, the 1st Marines, 7th and 12th infantry and the 7th armored( Army group B) broke thru the main Zimbabwean line at The battle of Mutare, and pushed into the country.

Army group B pushed forward, brushing aside all resistance. They eventually met at the enemy at Masvingo. The 3rd Marine Company eventually broke thru the line on the 4th day of battle, allowing other Celestial troops to pour in and overrun the enemy. They start pushing towards the Zimbabwean capitol of Harare.

The 1st and 2nd airborne managed to secure the south of the country, even launching an attack on Bulayo, 2nd largest city in Zimbabwe. They were eventually pushed back and await assistance from Army Group A.

Army Group A managed to secure the north and west of the country, brushing aside the weak resistance that faced them. They pushed into and took Bulayo, with assistance from the 1st and 2nd Airborne.

Army Group B attacked Harare, and after a fierce 5 month battle, manage to wipe out the Zimbabwean military and take the city.

The Zimbabwean president surrendered the country to Celestial military forces, wanting to stop the death and violence. With his surrender, Zimbabwe is formally annexed into the Kingdom of the Celestials.

Invasion of Mauritania

Republican Forces swarmed over the borders following an attempted government take over by Senegalese communists in the early morning. The capital city was occupied by the 7th Tank Division and the 3rd Guards Tank Division, which promptly put an end to the attempted take over.

Rebel strongholds in the northeast of the country have been under aerial bombardment for at least six hours as of the time of this post, while rebel strongholds in the south are being crushed out by Army and Republican Guard forces. At 4PM, Mauritania was annexed by the C.R.S.

Invasion of Guyana
The Armed Forces of the Republic of Omnise decided to invade Guyana. We are going to send 3x 56 000 soldiers, 280 MBTs, 650 artillery, 870 logistical vehicles. Guyana is a key country in the America, we are going to estabilish several  large trade centers there. The ONS Apollo aircraft - carrier will protect our forces from possible strikes from the air - there's no large chance of this, the Guyanan Army is underfunded, small, and uses outdated equipment. We are going to democratize the nation and hold elections as soon as possible.

Our Goal

The Imperial Congress has three main goals we set out to achieve: Growth, in every way possible; Influence, on the domestic and foreign front; and development, of the regional institutions and our community. This manifesto sets out to detail why these are our goals and how we expect to achieve them in the coming future in all areas of the region, from Cultural to Roleplay. Unlike most parties, we aren't simply an idle representation of values, we are the action to implement those values. So, after reading this manifesto, we, the leadership of the Congress, ask that you consider joining our humble group to help achieve a bright future for The Democratic Republic. We may only get there if we band together.

Cultural Development

1. Here in The Imperial Congress, we believe that the community is at the heart of any region. The people, their interactions, and the soul of the region is, ultimately, what guides a region and its future.

2. The Imperial Congress supports an emphasis on community leaders over political and government leaders. Those who hold positions of power need to first and foremost by trendsetters for the community, constantly striving to do what's best for the region and community before their own petty political views. We believe this because, ultimately, true change in the region is not set by the government, but rather by the leaders of the community. They must always set the best example.

3. The Imperial Congress supports a number of community initiatives to help boost involvement and the continued development of the region. This includes, but not limited to:

   • An endotarting program, to increase engagement and interaction;

   • A regional border welcoming force, to provide the region with more stable retention and integration;

   • Frequent community events, such as game nights and other initiatives, to incentivize community engagement;

   • The establishment of a wider range of government opportunities for engagement.
     

4. The Imperial Congress believes in government integration programs to further help newcomers find their place in The Democratic Republic, so that newcomers don't simply fade into inactivity but become contributing, active, and interested members of the community.
   

Governmental Structure

1. The Imperial Congress is opposed to an individual-based electoral system and rather favors a party-based electoral system. An individual-based electoral system demands constant involvement from individuals as opposed to parties and often diminishes competition. Whereas, a more party-based electoral system promotes healthy competition and emphasizes parties.

2. The Imperial Congress supports a looser separation of powers, rather opting for something similar to our current system, where most executive positions may be held by legislators. This is to allow people to take a healthy role in several areas of the region.

3. The Imperial Congress believes in a strong executive to help strictly enforce the laws and conduct of the region so as to keep the community and its development in check.

4. The Imperial Congress advocates for a competitive and strictly managed Legislature to ensure mature conduct within debate and voting. Rules are important, thus a code of conduct must be established, or maintained if already existent.

5. The Imperial Congress believes in a strictly serious and mature judicial system, by implementing stricter requirements for cases, lawyers, and the usage of the Court channel.

6. The Imperial Congress is fundamentally against 'Executive Orders' as a power of the Consul, seeing it as an overstep of the powers of the executive into that of the legislative.

7. The Imperial Congress is opposed to the powers of the Founder, believing that only those who have earned their positions into power should hold them. The Founder holds no inherent right to a position of authority. Checks and balances maintain the stability of the government.
   

Law and Judiciary

1. The Imperial Congress is strongly of the belief that maturity and strictly serious discourse should be constantly maintained in the Court and all judicial affairs surrounding it. As such, Court channels should not be accessible to the open public, but only to those under trial.

2. The Imperial Congress supports a strict interpretation of the Constitution and laws of the Republic. Members of the region should be punished according to the word of law, not emotionally-driven interpretations of it.

3. The Imperial Congress advocates for a stricter code of conduct for regional and governmental behavior. Not strict enough to inhibit community growth, but rather to promote a positive form of it.
   

Foreign Policy

1. The Imperial Congress is for an expansionist foreign policy, directed towards benefiting the Republic over any other regions.

2. The Imperial Congress supports establishing relations with new and influential regions, rather than small ones which lack real interregional influence.

3. The Imperial Congress is against building embassies with embassy collectors. Their embassies are worthless and lack any real value to the Republic.

4. The Imperial Congress is supportive of The Democratic Republic regularly taking part in R/D gameplay. This is to spread our reputation and our name across NationStates, allowing our community to expand and our region to develop on the foreign stage.

5. The Imperial Congress advocates for the establishment of an intelligence body to keep tabs on foreign regions which have been deemed threats to the Republic.

Invasion of Suriname
Suriname is a beautiful country with azure blue shores and rich natural resources with lush forests, it's a paradise. In the past decades a huge corruption crisis evolved in the country, billions were stolen for personal interests of people. The current government led by Petro Salvini stated that they will finally end this crisis in the country. They failed. The inflation is record high, the unemployment hit 48%.
The military was disbanded, anarchy rules in the country. We must stop this. We will send our military to make safety and order is the country, we mustn't let Suriname be destroyed.
The 75% of the population lives in the northern part of the country, we are going to start the liberation there.
Our main forces from Guyana will cross the border at Skeldon. We will move along the costline until we reach the eastern border of the country. The navy will support us all the time with artillery and airstrikes if needed. The total number of solders sent is nearly 248 000 solders with 1123 tanks and 745 artillery and several hundreds of logistical vehicles. We are trying to preotect the rainforests of the nation. Suriname will be liberated and all of the criminals will be imprisoned as soon as possible. We don't expect much rebels, the invasion will be quick.
