Or in the dispatch below (Oracle nr. 46). Some news is more like 'olds' (I should visit the forum more often) so in that case it's just FYI.

Tagging Ainslie, Solaryia, Belantica, Scaedia, Lofthus, Roendavar, Balnik, Thromsa, and Razzgriz. Maesefreoria and Borisuelo could also be indirectly interested (there is no 'group tag' possibility yet to tag all nations of let's say Raedlon at once, is there?)

In it:
- Priests elect Cīrtan III as High Priest for the next year
- Council of High Judges says 'no' to early elections
- Unusual heatwave affects Pāla, Tenda, and Sola
- Caution advised when travelling to Lofthus
- ROS lead naval drill in Sea of Gael raises eyebrows

News from Nhoor appears in the Ɵracil sɵn Nhōrɵs, 'the Oracle of Nhoor', often fondly called Nhoracle - only in written language however, as 'oracle' and 'nhoracle' are pronounced identically due to the fact that the 'nh' is silent. But to actually answer, the Consul would probably be curious and slightly concerned as to the purpose of the Doraltic military in the Mesder, however there won’t be any outward hostility towards D&S (rather similar to the response to the naval exercises), and there would be more of a focus on cooperating more with both D&S and Laeden given the friendliness between the three countries. (And at the very least to gain some measure of influence regarding Gaeltic activities in Mesder)

These feelings would be roughly shared among the Solaryi government and populace, (especially since Laeden isn’t particularly close to Raedlon proper) barring a relatively minor trend of nationalism that wishes to expand Solaryi influence over Raedlon and the Mesder by kicking out the other major powers. There would not be much common public concern or even attention given to the news, especially since rn the country is celebrating both Solstice and they’re also dealing with a nascent heatwave.

However, if D&S does a lot of sustained military activity in the Mesder region or gets close to Raedlon, than more citizens would probably start feeling like Raedlon is getting hemmed in by D&S/Laeden to the south and Altera to the north, which could cause friction despite the friendly relations the government has.

D&S in the Mesder? Oh, my nation is going to have A LOT of fun with that.......

I have a question, Dormill and Stiura, if you were to set up a naval base in the Mesder, wouldn’t that entail having your forces pass by Costavozka’s coastline? I see several routes into that area, the fastest two passing through the Karnali Sea, which is patrolled by Costavozkan warships and aircraft. Same with portions of the Argean Sea that you may have to pass through.

the South may not care for women's rights or for education, but they've got the whole comfort food game down to a science

I just discovered the wonderful world of fried okra last night, and I am now deeply opinionated on BBQ meat (and how it should never need sauce)

In all seriousness, if any of you get near the South Mesder sea, you're going to be seeing a lot of not-so-friendly Orwellian destroyers and submarines watching you closely. Any aggression whatsoever, so much as a single bullet fired, a single gun repositioned, we're gonna have a battle on our hands :P

I probably wont attack anyone for no reason though. Maybe

There’s also transiting Aizcona’s Southern Canal or taking the extremely long way and transiting around the southern cape of Argus. The routes through the Central Canal are also valid.

Costavozka wouldn’t deny the United Republic Navy the Freedom of Navigation, would they?

If anyone is interested, Kilat is soon going to have a volcanic eruption. You can read it more here: viewtopic.php?p=39732894#p39732894

Basically, there would be a volcanic ash rain and small-scale tsunami around Kilat, this map should explain the scope a bit: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/426862457986875392/990629490415783966/mountradinga-exposure.png

It should affect Sawneeak and Razzgriz primarily. Seeing Sawneeak might be affected, any claimants wants to sound their opinion? I have talked to Dorm, but better to hear others' as well. The exposure is still flexible given the timetable. The volcano should erupt early in July (when i finished the next news post).

Bonus point if anyone wants to send helps over here after the eruption.

How good is your navy’s AIS navigation system? Scale from 1-10, 1 being terrible, 10 being world’s best.

I will send aid. Will begin to work that into a blank news post template now, posting a little after you have.

A weekly update, with a huge amount of new dispatches (mostly thanks to Laeden).

Every month, the office selects a dispatch posted within the month that it has deemed exceptionally unique, creative and informative and deserves the recognition it needs. The dispatch is then featured here, as part of our Dispatch of the Month program. As long as the original author of the dispatch is in this region and exists on our Regional Map, the dispatch meets our requirements for the program.

Is there a dispatch you know that you feel is worthy of the award? If so, please do not hesitate to inform our Officer of Recognition - the official organizer of the program - of it. The office very much appreciates such nominations, as we are unable to keep track of every dispatch within the region.

About the Dispatch of the Month

The Dispatch of the Month is a program launched and run by the Office of Information. As stated before, the program involves the office featuring a dispatch it likes and feels the need to commend. The program was done in order to stimulate regional activity, encourage creativity, improve writing skills, and boost the overall nationbuilding quality.

The following requirements need to be met in order for a dispatch to be eligible for nomination:

  • Author must be in the region and regional map

  • Dispatch will have to be posted within the month

We determine the Dispatch of the Month results through a number of criteria. Each are worth 10 points, and the highest total score you can achieve is 40. The criteria are:

  • Uniqueness: What makes it different from other dispatches and nominees.

  • Creativity: How original and creative the dispatch itself is.

  • Visual Appealingness: How appealing the dispatch is.

  • Information: How informative the dispatch is.

You can also nominate any dispatch (yes, even yours) so long that it meets our guidelines. This greatly helps us reach a larger number of dispatches and possible nominees. However, only the dispatch with the highest total points based off our criteria will claim the title of Dispatch of the Month.

It was by no means meant to piss anyone off, it was just a way for me to keep track on what's going on.

Honestly I don't mind if you like all of my posts. Hell, you could like them twice if that was possible. Don't let some people's nagging put you off, it's a great thing that you're so involved in the RMB.

I'm arriving a little late to the discussion, but me and Dormill and Stiura are pursuing a closer relationship for a few months now. Nonetheless this base isn't supposed to serve as an enabler of foreign imperialism in the Mesder (something that Laeden would be strongly against). It's mostly meant to be a support base for any doraltic vessels or troops that are passing by. To be fair I think this will improve our sub-regional security, not harm it. I'd love to hear more from my Raedlon bros, from Jeriga and from The Orwell Society on this matter, both IC and OOC.

Thank you.

About the base, Orwell would be perfectly fine with it as long as they can monitor it. An ambassador would be sent every once in a while to make sure that our relations are A-OK and you aren't making any unsavory moves. And, you know, satellite surveillance is always an option I'd choose... but you guys aren't supposed to know that lol

I'm not sure if you'd be allowed to physically inspect the base, since it belongs to Dormill and Stiura, not to me. And the fact that you're an authoritarian regime won't be very appealing to the Laedenian population. Maybe we should work on the history between our countries to figure out some ways to connect and to justify your interest in Laeden and its politics?
