Commemorating the Battle of Concord

On the night of 15 May 2022, the League Defense Forces, in concert with her allies, stormed the region of Concord and seized control of it from the perfidious rascals who at that time made up the Confederacy of Layem. A verified forty-one updaters made the charge, nine of them soldiers of the LDF. The enemy did not put up a fight, but instead fled as soon as their founder was deleted, in terror of the onslaught to come.

The Layemite plan for Concord was to reestablish a safe haven for the most contemptible and toxic views found in NationStates. It was to be a beacon for extremist conservatives of all stripes to come and unite under the flag of intolerance. After it became apparent that their home in Layem was threatened, they attempted an exodus by refounding the historic region of Concord, but the forces of liberty were leaps and bounds ahead of them. Their founder was almost immediately deleted for infractions against site rules, and that very same night, no time was wasted in planning an invasion. Many former inhabitants of the equally-insufferable region of Sanctum counted themselves among the Layemites, but in the end, all fell to the light of freedom.

This digital plaque serves to commemorate the brave soldiers of The League and her allies, who took the fight to fascists, and took a stand against intolerance and hate in NationStates. Concord has been refounded and repurposed: may her vibrant and growing community stand as a shining light of freedom to the world; an exemplar for the values of peace, justice, liberty, equality, and most of all, love; the antithesis of the gospel of bigotry and hate promoted by unfortunate folks both on this site and in the world beyond; and finally, a testament to what people of all creeds and backgrounds can accomplish when they come together, united in the common pursuit of happiness.
