Sounds pretty great as an official optional extension to the original game!

Hmm , I've never really used NS++ . Any good? IIRC , there was some controversy a few years back over Privacy and Security in it.

You know what imma just run!! *runs as fast as little legs can*

Calling all patriotic Yggdrasilians and Valhallans, >=)

You can now sign up for the Cross Regional Summer Games! Hosted by Wysteria it'll take place from 30 July to mid August. We'll be competing with nations from Wysteria, Texas, Canada, 10000 Islands, Spiritus, European Union and Renegade Islands Alliance in 14 different disciplines, including love boat racing, steeplechase, rum and modern pentathlon. Last time we lost out in medals to 10KI, Wysteria, and Texas, because we had less people participating. I’m sure we can do better this time. :) Let's show them we are not weaklings!

For more information and to sign up, go here:
http://www.half-hp.net/yggforums/index.php?showtopic=6991 (copy and paste into your address bar)

This is the second time the Committee (led by Wysteria) is organizing this so I'm sure it will be more fun than last time around! Don't miss it!
Let me know if you’ve got any questions. :)

Now my population is 3 billion, or more.~~~

Goddess Relief Office wrote:I think Trav-Coch had another one too, if I'm not wrong. Though I can't remember which one.

Trav-Coch was co-author on a whole list of resolutions. I can't remember if he was author of record on any more. (More specifically, I can't remember if any of his GA resolutions were passed.

South titania wrote:Let me stop you there for a moment Davsland. I understand this is an election and one must present themselves as a stalwart candidate , but you're posting some misleading facts here.

1) You claim to have put up the most WA resolutions in the region. A simple search would have shown that information is false.

58 is the number of resolutions you put up. Impressive , but it was marred by 17 resolutions that you failed to post due to inactivity... Inactivity that you failed to inform the council of.

2) In contrast , I put up 121 resolutions missing around 3-4 which was graciously covered by fellow members here in my absence, after I'd informed the region I would be temporarily unable to dispense my duties.

3) Real life happens to all of us. Let's look at our incumbent delegate - Elke & Elba. He did the right thing and informed the region that he can no longer continue as delegate due to real life issues.

In contrast, you failed to inform the council of your inactivity and we had to remind you to do your duties. It was a tough time because GRO was also inactive and an equally inactive delegate was a dangerous situation for the region.

So fellow nations , kindly consider the facts before you choose to vote for any candidate for any role - be it Senator , Dev Minister , Delegate etc. Take the time to look through the facts before making the right choice.

I am quite aware of my record, and my mistakes. I am also aware that I have to shape up and i will as a 2nd term Delegate. So far I have 3 votes and you have 5. I'd say there are some who trust me enough to have a second term. I am going to continue this campaign, and even if i lose, I can say I tried my hardest to show people can trust me enough to do the job I was given. So people of Yggdrasil, read up on the candidates and make your choice. Have a great day everyone.

How does this sign-up work?

Signup of for the Cross Regional Summer Games? Just go to the link and post who you want to send for what events. Last time we had a thread in Wysteria we all chatted on with the other participants... I imagine GRO will update the thread when that happens again.

Also, a lot of mudslinging this election... :[

Chevaux de frise

Definitely one of the more aggressive elections.

I wouldn't know, as it's my 1st election... I have a lot of firsts to go, too.

Yeah, Delegate is usually the most hotly contested... that and Aesir for some reason. Everyone wants to be Aesir, but Vanir is usually unopposed.... STAY OUT OF MY SEAT PEOPLE! >:[

What do those do?

Because Aesir sounds cooler! It also has the word sir in it ;3

Just Senator seats, it's the Senators responsibility to represent the people of Yggdrasil to the council. We do it by electing two, Aesir and Vanir, who are responsible for listening to people, raising questions to the council, and welcoming new members. They can also propose or reject embassy requests in the absence of the Foreign Affairs minister.

Ah, thanks. Every little bit helps.
I don't feel responsible enough for a position in the government... too lazy to keep up(currently changing, if slowly), plus odd work hours interfere... :(

Eh, I was like that in the beginning too, then I disappeared and when I came back the region was dead. I was eventually thrown into the seat via necessity, and sat in it for two years or so.

The game becomes a lot more fun when you're involved in it politically, whether it's the regional government, Internationally, or just RP wise

Chevaux de frise

I thought Vanir sounded cooler :P. Definitely consider running for some governmental position if you care about the region. It's really not as hard as you may think it is and it gets you invested in the region.

I am trying to run a clean campaign with no mudslinging, and I had hoped it wouldn't come to that. I want to show i can be your full time delegate, not a part time delegate. I will represent you well, and help the region grow and be active. I will work with you, and for you.

I am also surprised no one ran for the position of Development Minister.

To be fair, even our most inactive delegates were better than our Valhallan delegates and probably RedIron set the bar for inactivity. Personally, i don't think Davs did such a bad job considering the proposal ratio is largely positive, even though ST obviously had a better record at posting those resolutions which is why he's our only 3term delegate in the history of Yggdrasil since 2008. It is not easy being delegate and be active the entire term particularly when the founder (me) is also inactive. So I don't blame Wookies, Phoenix, and Davs when me myself had been inactive as well.

It is surprising no one likes the Dev Minister job, not just this but in previous elections as well. Is this because of the job scope or what? Nobody is confident enough to promote RP and regional activities?. Anyhow Vrolondia has agreed to stick around for a while more, since nobody ran for the seat.

Changing topic, did you all hear about the plane crash over Ukraine?

Thank you for standing up for me GRO. :)

I did hear about that. No doubt the work of Pro Russian Separatists. But the Ukrainian government and it's supporters cannot be trusted either.

I'm free from her!!

Goddess Relief Office wrote:Yep Thembria brought a lot of activity to Yggdrasil!

For some reason that happens in every region I end up in..

Got this in one of the many WA tg things I keep getting..

"Capitalist Paradise was among the first nations to attempt to recruit from all regions when it was made legal. They also believe that your region doesn't have any right to exist. They think that Capitalist Paradise is the only 'real' region."

Curse you Capitalist Paradise! You get a condemnation think for using a large number of telegram stamps but I didn't get for for being the first to use tag:all!?
