¡Ay Carumba! Classic Taco Time!!! Still All fresh, still semi-new! Saturday Breakfast In Place time! Bring out the Drones! Today will be Saturday Chorizo & Egg Breakfast Tacos [COVID-19 Week CCVII Edition]! This is no Gringo Taco, this twangy little baby is the real deal. The Head Chef has been up all night with The Big Tex Happy Taco Stands Abuelas and Abuelitas grinding and grinding Grade A Prime NewTexas whole hog sausage which is then marinated in vinegar and chili powder. After that, it all goes into the ginormous black cast-iron skillets of doom and frying commences until it produces a rich, reddish grease that is mostly drained after the chorizo is fully cooked. We then crack fresh Texas Grade AA brown eggs into the skillet and scramble. The result is an orange-ish, not-so-fluffy, yet very eggy, very spicy heap of breakfast goodness that we pile into homemade flour tortillas! A whole egg in every taco!® You know you have a good chorizo taco when you have orange grease running down your arm and dripping off your elbow. That is our promise for your taco!

Today's Special Salsa is - Chile Quemado - a fiery roasted salsa made from tomatoes, onions, garlic, and jalapeños roasted fresh on the grill. A sealed cup of Texas-made Longhorn Cheddar Jack cheese is also included for cheese lovers and a cup of Pico de Gallo is also included. The tacos are hermetically sealed in a Stay-Warm® pouch wrapped in the same ol' aluminum foil we are all so familiar with for our breakfast taco. The Juice Bar will not be possible this week. But, for your beverage needs, a packet of Sanka, Tang and a Lipton Tea bag will be included with every delivery as well as salt and pepper and a napkin. Yes, it is different, but it works and you do not even have to leave your residence. Woo! And, watch out for the drones! Start your day off the right way; munch out and go back to sleep. Considering the clowns inside the beltway, being part of the US is a little troubling.

The 2024 Phillies are the second-fastest team in club history to 30 victories, behind only the 1976 Phillies.

It's a long road to October so we'll see how they're looking later in the season. Hopefully this is a good omen.

Somebody torched a Krispy-Kreme? Oh HELL no. There is no hole deep enough, there is no cell dark enough, there is no penalty that would exceed cruel and unusual for that offense against man and [insert deity of choice here].

Here's a story from Denver in the late 70's. Someone robbed the Winchell's donut shop on Evans at Monaco around 2:30 in the morning. It should also be pointed out that donut shop happened to be the preferred hang out for many district 3 police officers. This occured at a time when very few armed robbery suspects were caught immediately after the fact.

We heard the robbery go out over the police radio. I looked at my partner and said, "That man just screwed up big time. He just robbed the cops favorite hangout and probably scared the crap out of Mary. (She was the pretty little counter girl that worked overnights in that shop.) He laughed and added, "If they catch him, we'll have to go pronounce the corpse."

Four minutes later they had the robber in custody. (No we did not have to go an pronounce him.) They caught him with the money in the Winchell's bag, the gun, and the colorful stocking mask.

Moral of the story, don't mess with the donut shop. The cops won't sleep until they have the people responsible.
