Social Liberal Union are fellow NSLeft comrades and a good community from what I've seen. As I've said before discussing SLU, it's much farther left than the name implies; there's a solid amount of MLs there. I support embassies with them but I'd like to hear from other comrades.

Marxia looks interesting and I'd be up to build embassies with them in the future if the folks there are actual leftists, not roleplayers, and break embassies with the dictators region with the nazbol stuff and fascist tag.

And The Peoples Liberation Army - nice job refounding a region that CTE'd more than a year ago. Normally I wouldn't comment on stuff like this but it's a testament to how desperate the fascists are to score anything resembling a victory.

I agree with the SLU embassy, itd be good to consolidate ties with our fellow NSLeft regions, and they seem a good place to start. At some point we may consider embassies with Anarchy as well, but one step at a time i suppose.

We clarify that our war deterrent is being developed not for aiming at others.

We are developing it in order to defend ourselves.

If we don't have our own strength, the only thing we have to do is to wipe the streaming tears and blood though our fists are clenched."

What did you think of it comrades?

I thought it was also very revealing that he emphatically took responsibility for failing to meet economic goals in the face of enormous difficulties including of course the pandemic as well as the military/diplomatic situation and natural disasters.

Western media always depicts the DPRK as supposedly treating their leaders like infallible gods while western "democracies" have "accountable" leadership.

But this example shows just the opposite, the DPRK's leaders show immense humility and self criticize while the leaders of the imperialist countries do everything they can to scapegoat their failures and divert responsibility for the crises they have created for themselves and the world at large.

The factbook you went digging up for some unknown reason that wasn't relevant to anything. What do you think roleplaying is exactly? There was no roleplaying going on, you lied about that and deliberately twisted it into some spurious excuse to banject someone trying to have a conversation and who had done nothing wrong.

I'd been in this region for two years and never had a problem with anyone before. I don't understand what your deal is.

Communists Demand the Federal Government Act to Protect Mi’kmaq Fishers and Fishing Rights!

The Communist Party of Canada stands with Mi’kmaq fishers, the Sipekne’katik First Nation and Indigenous nations across Canada who are demanding protection for Indigenous fishers and the legal Indigenous fishery under attack by mobs of 200 or more people in New Edinburgh and Middle West Pubnico, Nova Scotia this week.

The attacks have escalated over the past weeks from harassment and interference with Indigenous fishers on land and at sea, to the illegal theft and destruction of Indigenous lobster traps, equipment, ramming Indigenous boats, burning a fish boat, and firing live ammunition at Indigenous fishers, to the destruction of two Indigenous fish storage facilities with rocks and gasoline while fishers were trapped inside this week. Throughout all of these events, the RCMP and police have stood idly by, watching the attacks unfold.

The RCMP’s failure to intervene to stop the attacks, to arrest mob leaders, and protect Indigenous fishers endangered by mob violence, combined with the federal government’s failure to order the RCMP to protect Indigenous fishers and the legal Indigenous fishery, is clear evidence of systemic racism and of government collusion to wipe out the Indigenous fishery using the full force of the state.

The right of the Indigenous peoples of NS to an Indigenous fishery is undeniable. The 1752 Treaty of Peace and Friendship guaranteed the Mi’k Maq the right to earn a “moderate livelihood” from hunting and fishing. This was challenged by the federal government with the arrest and prosecution of Donald Marshall for eel fishing in the 1990s. In 1999 the Supreme Court of Canada rejected the government’s arguments in the Marshall case, and upheld Indigenous rights to hunt and fish.

But the RCMP, police, and the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) have not upheld the law, and have actively enabled mob rule to overpower and crush the Indigenous fishery, and Indigenous rights.

Largely invisible in media coverage is the Clearwater corporation, the largest producer of shellfish in North America, which operates year-round with exclusive rights to trap 720 tonnes of lobster in the biggest lobster fishing area off NS, annually. Clearwater has a direct interest in diverting attention from its own massive profits, unsustainable fishing practices, and court appearances for gross violations of DFO regulations. Its virtual monopoly on fishing in NS means it effectively sets the price for the lobster catch, and for the poor wages and living standards of small commercial fishers.

Clearwater has a direct interest in fanning the flames of racism and hatred, and ensuring that widespread anger is directed at the Indigenous fishery and not at Clearwater and its owner John Risley whose net worth is $1.21 billion.

The Communist Party demands that the federal government act now to protect Indigenous fishers and communities, by ordering the DFO and RCMP to end mob violence, arrest and charge perpetrators, and enforce the law. Indigenous fishers and communities must be provided reparations for the damages inflicted on their livelihoods and on their communities, and be guaranteed that their rights to fish and hunt will be protected henceforth.

We call on the labour and democratic movements to speak up in support of the Indigenous fishers and communities affected in NS, and to demand government action to end the violence against Indigenous fishers and communities, to enforce the law, and to obey the law that successive federal governments have worked so hard to overturn legally and otherwise.

Strictly implement measures to maintain and strengthen the quarantine stable situation in each level of emergency quarantine

(The Chosun Central Communications departing on October 19, Pyongyang)

In the emergency quarantine sector at each level, projects to maintain and strengthen the stable quarantine situation are being aggressively developed.

In the central emergency quarantine sector, in accordance with the intention of our Party, which set the main goal of the 80-day battle to maintain the quarantine front by further strengthening the national emergency quarantine project, the responsibility and role of the staff in the war for the protection of the motherland and the people We are reinforcing the organizational business and consolidation business to continuously increase.

Through regular general meetings, experiences in the virus epidemic quarantine project are widely generalized, and the project is being pushed forward to counter the biases immediately.

In the emergency quarantine sector in the border and border areas, residents and soldiers are once again awakened, and in accordance with the changing seasons, mask wear, body temperature measurement, hand disinfection, and disinfection of bicycles are more strict according to quarantine requirements. The demand for the mobilized personnel to keep the established order consciously is increasing.

Along with this, we are strictly following the system of collecting, disinfecting, and buriing wastes from rivers, and reporting normal water quality inspections for rivers and drinking water.

Inspection and quarantine institutions have introduced various professional disinfection methods according to the type, material, and packaging type, along with natural neglect of the delivered goods, to prevent the appearance of trivial storage spaces, and to increase the demand for handling members to exercise high responsibility.

Combatants struggling to recover from damage thoroughly overcome formalism in the disinfection business, and are trying to fight strongly against phenomena that violate established quarantine regulations.

I have edited the 'Abbreviated history of North Korea' to more of a first person account of the regional history, as it was a mix of this and point form before (I found this very difficult to read. The final verson is in the factbook of V ming and it requires updating for 2020 (pandemic, regional changes I have missed etc) and I hope someone will volunteer to pick up this task. Our history is important in viewing our past success and ideas to motivate and plant the seeds of future success as a region, both in influence and growth. I encourage the region to discuss, propose any changes and comrades to volunteer in the task of keeping up on our history. Can we agree that the new version I have written should replace the old version currently displayed in the WFE? (Also I dont have a spell check on NS here comrades, hopefully I haven't ruined English.lol)
Please let me know your thoughts.

Revolutionary regards;

V Ming

Probably because Western democracies elect their leaders, have term limits, are held accountable to laws, and their elections feature more than one candidate.

When one of the Kim dynasty is removed from power by something besides death, start talking about "accountability" in North Korean leadership.

No nation can be ruled by a government that the people dont approve of, especially for 60 years. Kim Jong Un has been elected and had some 80% approval rating, what western democracy can state that about their government leader? Elections in the DPRK all municipalities put forward members of the ruling party for the masses to vote on, incumbents have their jobs weighed and if they haven't done well for their community they are replaced. There are at least three (but I believe four) political parties in the DPRK. You speak about " held accountable to laws" as though in the DPRK there aren't any. This is simply not true and following the news there often politicians are removed or put on trial for corruption or nepotism.

Keep your ignorance in your hippy region, dont insult us.

Feats of CPV Martyrs Will Shine Forever in History of DPRK-China Friendship: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun on Sunday dedicates an editorial to the 70th anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) into the Korean front.

The editorial says the entry of the CPV into the Korean front was a striking demonstration of the militant friendship and comradely cooperation between the peoples of the DPRK and China, which were forged as a single destiny.

The revolutionaries and peoples of the two countries established unbreakable comradely relationship in the course of aspiring after the joint cause and waging a bloody struggle in the same trench for carrying out the cause, says the editorial and goes on:

Etched in every page of the history of the DPRK-China friendship is the comradely friendship of the preceding leaders of the two countries who cooperated closely with each other to carry out their common cause.

The DPRK-China friendship firmly consolidated in the face of all kinds of challenges and trials of history is getting stronger at a higher stage, as required by the new era, thanks to deep comradely friendship between Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and General Secretary Xi Jinping.

It is a firm will of our Party and people to further develop the DPRK-China friendship into the relations to be envied by the world and to vigorously advance the socialist cause by dint of the friendship and unity.

Our Party and people will always struggle hand in hand with the party, the government and the people of China on the road for defending and vigorously advancing socialism despite any adversity and trial. They will also make continuous efforts to usher in a heyday of the DPRK-China friendship as required by the times.

The editorial stresses that the feats of the CPV martyrs who dedicated their lives in the Korean front, their noble soul and lofty self-sacrificing spirit will remain forever in the hearts of the Korean people and shine forever in the history of the DPRK-China friendship. -0-

OPP invade Kanonstaton to uphold court injunction

Last Wednesday I was witness to the OPP invading Kanonstaton (an area of unceded Native land in Caledonia Ontario, Canada) to uphold an Ontario court ruling. Land defenders were arrested, shot at with rubber bullets and taunted with chicken noices by the cowardly Ontario Provinial Police.

Today, all over the bourgeois news is an attack caught on camera of land defenders striking back over the weekend, smashing up an OPP cruiser with rocks and lacrosse sticks. Its funny how when the state inflicts violence hardly a peep is heard but when comrades fight back its front page, national news. The Canadian Braodcasting Corporation chose its words carefully and while it did mention last Wednesday's confrontation, it did little more than mention a "skirmish" - this is colonial violence perpetrated by the state.

Hello comrades of North Korea. It has been a long time. A long time since 25th worker soviet and a bunch of your brothers of NK saved my region from certain fascist invasion. Thank you for accepting my embassy renewal, I am not sure why it was shut down, as I have been virtually inactive for a year or so.

The Kim's are a dynasty that has ruled through fear and murder. That's why only they have ruled. And deep down, you know this. What kind of worker's state is it when father's nominate their son to succeed them? As I observed, the Kims are accountable to no one but the Grim Reaper when it comes to being removed from office. It's a tyranny.

The Kim's uphold a vision to rebuild a Korea terrorized by the outside world, from Russia to Japan, China to America everyone has had their dirty hands in Korea! The Korean people are not stupid, they collectively choose this vision and its leaders who profess to accomplish it and have shown some imporessive results. Many American presidents have been assasinated or had such attempts on their life, you do not see these things happening in Korea, if the Korean people en mass did not accept the Workers party and its leadership then they would collectively overthrow it.

What kind of Workers state has a father nominate a son to succeed him? A state where the people are supportive and demanding of the dreams of the father, a state who's leadership was the first to abolish illiteracy in Asia, a state who's been stomped on and bombed by some of the most powerful nation states across the world, and a state from which yhey have had to rebuild from nothing. Not a building stood standing at the end of the Korean war. This state, which has had numerous foreign attempts to infiltrate and dominate and frustrate its independance, finds solace in a leadership which has promised such.

"Deep down" I know what Korea is, what it was under Japanese colonization. "Deep down", I know what the Russia-Japanese war did to it, I know what the Americans have done to it. "Deep down" I know, that I know enough about Korea to hold this region for 10 years, the majority of that time democratically. You mention that the Kims rule through murder, but how many murders is the state accountable for? An attempt on the life of a former diplomat in a foreign nation? - well that sounds like the CIA or KGB or any other state apparatus at work doing the dirty deeds that come with state hood, I'm not defending it, I'm just stating that its not out of the ordinary for secret services to do such.

It's also important to remember during the rebuilding of Korea, the North outpaced the South in almost every measurable quality (quality of life including homelesness, caloric intake, unemployment, GDP, etc) from about 1960-1975. And that the North is still the only un-occupied Korea, completely in control of its sovereignty, unlike the South which has Americans telling it what it can and cant do with its own military. For years and years the South was ruled by police state inspired puppets of the Americans so much so that uprisings in support of the North were often and frequent, including the Jeju Island uprising which lead to the South systemically rooting out all North supporters and massacering them, some say as many as 10,000 Korean citizens exterminated by the government for their support of socialist policies at home that mimicked the North.

On and on. There's a lot of reasons that the DPRK does thinbgs the way that they do them, I encourage you to find some unbiased reading. Even if you don't, bourgeois scholars conclude the North outpaced the South for many years and the history prior to the revolution is in any library or online. Understanding Korea and its history is imperative to understanding the DPRK and why they are as they are.
