Overview • PeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Elegarth Kingdom of The Seeker of Power is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Elegarth with an even hand, and notable for its unlimited-speed roads. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 10.728 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of NewMidgard III. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 44%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Information Technology.

Politicians constantly ring their voters to remind them how good a job they're doing, contrails and thunderous rumbles have returned to the skies above, reports of arson have doubled since the introduction of a privatised fire protection service, and new safety regulations require all cars manufactured in The Seeker of Power to be bombproof. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Seeker of Power's national animal is the Mighty Bullelepanther, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Elegartharianism, and its currency is the Franco.

The Seeker of Power is ranked 4,245th in the Pacific and 91,028th in the world for Most Rebellious Youth, scoring -16 on the Stark-Dean Displacement Index.
