The Rather Worrying Eventuality of Adaia is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Polo with an iron fist, and notable for its anti-smoking policies. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 10.182 billion Pathetic Losers are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Turrig-zzi-Eyss. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 30%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Automobile Manufacturing.

The police crack down on tax evaders without mercy, pro-democracy protesters are shot on sight by state police, military service is compulsory, and mobile phone masts are being erected all over the country. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Adaia's national animal is the lizard, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Vainamism, and its currency is the garnet.

Adaia is ranked 234th in New Warsaw Pact and 112,811th in the world for Best Weather, with -2,281 Metres of Sunlight Above Expected.
