what I can't quite understand, is why the conservatives are so obsessed in going back to an out-of-fashion past!
People have a tendency to glorify the past and are scared of things that are new or they don't understand.
The way a guy I'm probably (hopefully not...) being cheated with glorifies vikings as the peak of civilization makes me disgusted.
(he also has a k...k in pre-trans trans men, sees them as some sort of prize)
If you think they're cheating you should confront them (if it's safe to do so). I mean the history is interesting and the viking aesthetic looks cool, but I wouldn't call it the peak of civilization lol.
tell that to the LARPers with mall ninja accessories thinking they are badasses, strong, doing the usual 'unrealistic-unreliable-but-at-least-looks-cool' sword attacks, but that would either die in case they were in a real battle, or made slave cargo lol (he's one of these)
Western Weassey: NGL, the Vikings were hella impressive, but they weren't the height of civilization, they were just crazy good at being explorers, raiders, and merchants.

Here in Brazil, the same people that speak about, "bringing back tradition", invaded the political buildings in our capital and broke all sort of Imperial era relics that were untouched and perfectly preserved
