Why isn't anyone campaigning on a platform of: "I am a demon of chaos and destruction from the Bad Place, and my tenure in office will be a reign of terror devoted to drinking all of Yodle's root beer--and maybe I'll throw away a candy wrapper without recycling it and kick a puppy or three"? I mean, as political position statements go, that's probably the most honest thing any candidate could say to us.
And admit it--you'd vote for that candidate just to watch the soap-opera-level drama unfold.
