Okay, I have 3 questions to put out there for anyone to feel free to answer (I have 1,008,001.5 questions to ask, but I'm gonna limit myself to 3).

1. Does anyone want to form any agreements with my nation (military alliance, FTA, extradition treaty, etc.)?
2. Does anyone want me to have my people smuggle cannabis into their country so we have something interesting to write about? Or at least something else that Biaten has an abundance of which is illegal or highly regulated in your country?
3. Does anyone have any good formats for factbooks they'd recommend that can help make them look more like Wikipedia pages?

Army of Domanania

The Federated States of Domanania Army, also known as the FSD Army or Doman Army, is the army of Domanania, responsible for ground-based warfare. It is the largest of the military branches of the Doman Armed Forces with 23,000 members as of 2023. With the dissolution of conscription in Domanania, the entire military force is made up of volunteers, with 13,615 Active troops, and 10,685 in reserve.

History

The Army of Domanania can trace its history back to the Imperial army of Tavae (4th Century).

The 5th of every September is celebrated as armed forces day, celebrating the new military being formed following the Doman Civil War.

The National Security Guard were originally formed out of the Doman army, originally formed as a reserve of the National Police. In addition, ethnic Alterans, Khas-Kirati, and Omvari made up a large portion of the original forces during the civil war, which were formed from foreign forces acting as advisers and auxiliary forces during the civil war. The National Police became primarily ethnic Doman by 1965. The army would inherit equipment and personnel from both sides when the civil war concluded.

Conscription was maintained as part of the armed forces to encourage cooperation and to heal the divides of the civil war. The army received the most conscripts over the course of the next 50 years, having over 200,000 active troops at its greatest extent.

Current Operational Status

The Doman Army is structured to defend the upland and lowland terrain of Domanania and the main island. The forces are mostly designed for defense from external threats. As of 2023, the Army is organized with a single Army Corps, with a total of 2 Divisions, 3 Brigades, 2 Battalions, and 1 Army Air Wing. The 2nd Armored, 2nd & 3rd Mechanized, and the 2nd Transport battalion are currently in reserve.

In 2023, with the end of conscription, the army re-activated the army air command, which had previously been disbanded and granted to the air force command in 1990. The army states that it requires this organic air wing to give the army an element of air mobility. The 4th Aviation Regiment will also include the army's first special forces, specializing in combat search and rescue and special operations. This army air force is being transferred from the air force and being reintegrated. The air force has protested this decision, but has placed an order for additional air craft.

Equipment

The army consists of 23,000 troops, approximately 100 MBTs, 600 APCs, 50 IFVs, 2,000 Artillery Pieces, 60 MLRS, 52 Air Defense Systems, and 100 Armored Engineer vehicles as of 2023. Main battle tank types include: the Sk-85 MBT/Engineer, and SK-05 MBT. The army will consider ordering more SK-05 tanks to replace the aging SK-85 tanks.

In addition, Domanania manufactures the Type-80 SPG. The army also fields a combination of L-55 MRV, AMV-98, and ARV-70 as supplementary armored vehicles to transport and support infantry.

As of 2023, the army will be replacing the older models of vehicles with newer, modern ones. This is a result of the armed forces no longer using conscription, and therefore the army does not require to maintain older equipment to ensure that the troops have the proper equipment.

In 2023, the army began to re-integrate aircraft from the air force, which was a total of 93 helicopters to fill its Army Air Command. This includes: 10 ON60 Heavy Lift helicopters, 22 H-77 Light Attack Helicopters, and 61 H-78 Medium Lift Helicopters. The order is expected to be filled by 2024.

Navy of Domanania

The Federated States of Domanania Navy, also known as the FSDN, or Doman Navy, is the Navy of Domanania, responsible for naval and amphibious operations. The FSD Navy includes the Federated States of Domanania Marine Corps, which functions as a branch of the Navy. The FSD Navy has about 50,000 regular personnel including 15,000 Marines. There are about 90 commissioned ships in the Navy. The naval aviation force consists of about 290 fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. The FSD Marine Corps has about 150 tracked vehicles including assault amphibious vehicles.

The FSD Navy was established as the Marine Defense Group in 1971 after the end of the Doman civil war, integrated domestic and foreign ships under a unified command. Since the end of the civil war, the Doman navy had concentrated its efforts on building naval forces to deter foreign interests in the weakened state. As Domanania's economy grew, the FSD Navy was able to locally build larger and better equipped fleets to deter aggression.

History

The navy has a long history going back centuries, with the navy being the back bone of the Doman Maritime Empire. During the height of the empire, the navy fielded 60,000 men across thousands of ships. Using a Kun (Junk) rig on most of their ships they were able to leverage tribute from most nations in the mesder seas, becoming a wealthy empire. For multiple centuries the navy would dominate the trade lanes, bringing other nations to their knees.

During the imperial war period, Domanania hosted on of the largest navies in the region with ambitions to colonize regions of the mesder seas. These plans came to an end when the Doman civil war broke out, splitting the country. While the Junta government held control of the navy for a majority of the war, as the Congressional Forces began to take territory, many navy commanders sided with the rebel forces. The Congressional navy was made of ships sold to them by foreign powers, as well as turn-coat ships from the Junta forces.

At the end of the civil war, the new government reorganized all ships into a new command structure. This included a few new guided missile ships, but mostly smaller ships designed to protect the coast against similar sized vessels. Begining in the 1980s, the government began a large project to expand Doman shipbuilding, both civilian and military. This lead to many new ship designs coming off the slipways by the late 80's, including some large and powerful destroyers and cruisers, which the nation struggled to field due to their massive cost.

In 2010, the navy was officially classed as a green water navy, being able to operate further from the shores of Domanania. The Navy has plans of operating a blue water navy, utilizing powerful frigates, destroyers, submarines, and even light air craft carriers. This includes plans for nuclear submarines, and converting the Mountain Class Assault Ship into a light carrier capable of operating VTOL aircraft.

Organization

The FSD Navy includes the Domanania Navy Headquarters, Federated States of Domanania Fleet, FSD Marine Corps, Naval Education and Training Command, Naval Logistics Command, and Naval Academy. The Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) is the highest-ranking officer of the FSD Navy.

The navy has 3 numbered fleets which are assigned to the seas East, and North of Domanania, with the 3rd fleet being assigned to the Four Passages.

  • First Fleet (HQ: Theríp)

  • Second Fleet (HQ: Kevsaae)

  • Third Fleet (HQ: Saekrasa)

For various types of naval operations, the FSD Fleet has a submarine force, two surface flotillas, a naval aviation force, a special warfare force, and units for combat readiness

  • Submarine Force Command

  • Special Flotilla 4

  • Air Wing 2

  • Maritime Task Force 4

  • Battle Training Group 3

  • Special Warfare Flotilla (including UDT/SEAL, EOD, and Sea Salvage & Rescue Unit (SSU))

  • Naval Intelligence

Numbered Fleets

In 1990, the FSD Navy reorganized its patrol forces into three fleets: the First Fleet, Second Fleet, and Third Fleet. The three numbered fleets, each is led by a rear admiral (upper half), are responsible for protecting the coastal water around Domanania: The First Fleet is for the northern naval sector (Including the northern islands), the Second Fleet is for the eastern naval sector and the Third Fleet is for the center of the four passages. Each fleet includes a Maritime Battle Group, Logistics Squadron, Base Squadron, and Training Squadron. The Maritime Battle Group comprises squadrons of patrol forces composed of Heaven Class Destroyers, Serpent Class Corvettes, and Protector Class Corvettes with support from patrol vessels.

Submarine Force Command

Headquartered in Kevsaae, the Submarine Force Command was established in February 2012. The FSD Navy's submarine unit had a humble beginning with three aging submarines from the 1960's. After the completion of 6 Bay Class Submarines by 2010, the first Submarine Force Command was created, allowing for independent operations with submarines as a unique force, and not integrated into any one fleet.

The Submarine Force Command, which is led by a rear admiral (upper half), includes four Submarine Squadrons with Bay Class Submarine and Trench Class Submarines. In 2022, the FSD Navy would begin planning for the completion of 10 new submarines and integrate them into their own squadrons under the SFC.

Special Flotilla 4

The special flotilla 4 is headquartered in Kevaase, and has historically participated in ASW, Special Operations, and Amphibious Warfare. The force primarily focuses on auxiliary and support roles for the navy, including resuply ships and mine hunters. In 1998, the flotilla was reorganized with elements from the numbered fleets, and would again be reorganized in 2015 to accommodate the new Submarine Force Command.

Air Wing 2

Headquartered in Vaerthe, the commander of Air Wing 2 is responsible for the operation of naval aircraft. In 1978, the Air Wing was created to integrate helicopters attached to naval ships. While the navy operates a total of 290 aircraft, this includes ship borne aircraft. Air Wing 2 primarially uses its 25 MPA, and 16 land based UAVs to monitor the seas.

Maritime Task Force 4

Headquartered in Saekrasa, the Maritime Task Flotilla 4 is tasked with keeping Sea Lines of Communication open. Maritime Task Force 4 was created in 2015 when the navy announced plans to become a Blue-Water navy. The force in comprised of 4 Snow Lion Class Destroyers and soon to be Allegiance Class Frigates with assistance from Hanui Fast Combat Support Ships. Maritime Task Force 4 is the only force currently tasked with operating outside the 4 Passages sea zone.

Marine Corps

The FSD Marine corps operates as a branch of the navy and is responsible for carrying out amphibious operations. Headquartered in Tsansí, the FSDMC has 15,140 personnel organized 4 regiments and 4 battalions (including headquarters). The Marine Corps are structured for rapid response to threats on land and sea, specializing in boarding, anti-terrorist, anti-piracy, coastal raiding, and amphibious assaults.

Equipment

The vessels are categorized into four levels. A first-rate ship (Trench Class-SS, DDG, DDH, LPH, MLS, and AOE) is commanded by a captain; a second-rate ship (SS, FFG, FF, PCC, LST, ATS, and ASR) by a commander; a third-rate ship (PKG, MSH, and MHC) by a lieutenant commander; and a fourth-rate craft (PKMR, PKM, and LSF) is commanded by a lieutenant or a warrant officer.

The FSD Navy employs a letter based hull classification symbols to designate the types of its ships and hull numbers to uniquely identify its vessels. The class names are that of the Animals, Plants, Geographic Locations, Maritime occupations, and Religious Nouns or Personality Adverbs. The Chief of Naval Operations selects the names of ships.

Uniquely when it comes to the Doman Navy, ships that would be classified as frigates in other navies are classified as Destroyers. This is because ships designed to be formation leaders are classified as destroyers, not based on their armament or size. This is why ships with larger armaments can be classified as frigates, while smaller ships are Destroyers.

The ship prefix for all the commissioned FSD Navy ship is FNS (Federation Naval Ship) when the names of ships are written in English.

Airforce of Domanania

The Federated States of Domanania Airforce, also known as the FSD Airforce or FSDAF, is the airforce of Domanania, responsible for aerial-based warfare. It operates almost all aircraft that support the army. With the dissolution of conscription in Domanania, the 3rd Air Group was disbanded, releasing the T8 Light Fighter from combat service, maintaining a few platforms for training.

History

The air force was split off from the Doman Army in 1990, assuming command over almost all army air forces, with the army only maintaining a pair of helicopter squadrons.

The air force has tried to maintain a fleet of advanced aircraft, always pushing for more advanced systems. The air force has acquired 5th generation aircraft recently, being the first platform to enter the air force's service. Additional stealth platforms are planned to be acquired, along with advanced 4.5 gen aircraft.

in 2023, elements from the air force were re-integrated back into the army to form the Army Air Command. This included 93 mixed role helicopters. The air force protested this decision, and has ordered more aircraft to fill its ranks.

Current Operational Status

The FSDAF is designed to protect the country from land based installations, and fend off aircraft and naval vessels. As of 2022, the air force is interested in projecting power by air to a majority of the Mesder seas, using a combination of long range weapons, refueling platforms, and unmanned aircraft. Currently the air force employs 22,500 personnel, with ~15,800 personnel in active service and 6,700 in reserve with around 5,000 civilian personnel. The airforce operates 7 air groups and 273 aircraft, as well as air-borne infantry specialized in combat search and rescue.

Equipment

The air force operates a number of air craft, including: 70 Fighter Aircraft, 112 Mixed Role Helicopter, 30 Attack Helicopters, 11 UAV's, 21 Transport Planes, and 29 Miscellaneous Aircraft as of 2023.

Organization

The FSDAF is organized into 5 operational air groups, and one special operations unit.

This includes 2 fixed wing combat groups, 2 Helicopter Groups, and 1 Strategic Air Group.

But wait, it get's better! Come November 3rd, there will at least one candidate elected to the United States House of Representatives who literally believes—and I'm not making this up—that the world is run by a secret cabal of pedophile satanists plotting against Donald Trump. That's right, folks: US members of Congress will be making policy based on their own wild-eyed fantasies and paranoid delusions.

Wildlife diversity is a notable feature of mainland Magarat (Vendriothos). Because of the variance in climate, from tropical to alpine-like, the Khas-Kirati Republic has a large variety of ??? species of fauna of which ?? are mammals. There are some animal species which are unique to Vendriothos. The government of the Khas-Kirati Republic has established numerous National Parks and reserves in order to protect its diverse fauna. Vendriothos is a biodiversity hot spot with eco-regions broadly comprising the mountainous eco-region, the savanna and grasslands eco-region and the rivers eco-region; which has many endemic species.

In Vendriothos, a Varga is an individual's spirit animal of sorts. Khas-Kiratis consider their Varga to be extension of their souls or reincarnations of their deceased family members or close friends. Historically, an individual's Varga was determined through "visions" (induced by medicinal herbs provided by a shaman) at his or her 13th birthday. Those who failed to determine their Varga at their 13th birthday were socially ostracized as the Vargaheen (and considered to be like those soulless foreigners). In modern times, the government of the Khas-Kirati Republic conducts special exams to determine the Varga of 13-year-olds (to ensure that no one is a Vargaheen and to minimize accidents or deaths related to Varga-capturing rituals).

Corvus Domanica
Binita Luitel, 1817

The Doman Crow (Corvus Domanica) is a common bird of the crow family that is of Domananian origin but now found in many parts of the Isles; where they arrived alongside Khas-Kirati raiders, traders and settlers who took a liking to this species as "a common but highly-regarded intelligent Varga". The forehead, crown, throat and upper breast are a richly glossed black whilst the neck and breast are a lighter grey-brown in color. The wings, tail and legs are black. There are regional variations in the thickness of the bill and the depth of color in areas of the plumage.

Distribution and habitat

It has a widespread distribution in all over the Isles; being native to Domanania and Ioudaia. It was introduced to Vendriothos in the 10th Century after Khas-Kirati conquests of these two nations. From Vendriothos, it arrived in TBD countries alongside Khas-Kirati raiders, traders and settlers.

It is associated with human settlements throughout its range, from small villages to large cities.

Due to a human population explosion in the areas it inhabits, this species has also proportionately multiplied. Being an omnivorous scavenger has enabled it to thrive in such circumstances.

Invasive species

The invasive potential for the species is extremely high. This species is able to make use of resources with great flexibility and appears to be associated with humans and no populations are known to exist independently of humans. The Doman crow has been added to the List of Invasive Alien Species by TBD countries. The Doman crow is considered to be responsible for the decline of many local flora and fauna such as TBD in TBD countries.

Behavior

Diet

Doman crows feed largely on refuse around human habitations, small reptiles and mammals and other animals such as insects and other small invertebrates, eggs, nestlings, grain and fruits. Doman crows have also been observed swooping down from the air and snatching baby squirrels. Most food is taken from the ground, but also from trees as opportunity arises. They are highly opportunistic birds and given their omnivorous diet; they can survive on nearly anything that is edible. These birds can be seen near marketplaces and garbage dumps; foraging for scraps. They have also been observed to eat sand after feeding on carcasses.

Nesting

At least some trees in the local environment seem to be necessary for successful breeding although Doman crows occasionally nest on telephone towers. It lays 3-5 eggs in a typical stick nest and occasionally there are several nests in the same tree. Peak breeding in Domanania as well as rest of the Isles is from April to July. Large trees with big crowns are preferred for nesting.

Roosting

Doman crows roost communally near human habitations and often over busy streets. A study in Tapu Sahar found that the preferred roost sites were in well-lit areas with a lot of human activity, close to food sources and in tall trees with dense crowns that were separated from other trees. The roost sites were often enclosed by tall buildings. Before flying into roost trees, crows make pre-roosting aggregations perched on TV antennas, roof tops, wayside trees, open field, and feed or preen during this time.

Voice

The voice is a harsh kaaw-kaaw.

Relationship to humans

It is suspected that paramyxoviruses, such as PMV 1 that causes of Newcastle disease, may be spread by Corvus domanica. Outbreaks of Newcastle disease in Domanania, Ioudaia and TBDIslesCountries were often preceded by mortality in crows. They have also been found to carry yeasts that can cause cryptococcosis in humans.
