The Constitution of the Region of Midville Empire
Preamble
We, the nations of the Region of Midville Empire, in recognition of our shared values, mutual respect, and commitment to peace and cooperation, do hereby establish this Constitution to ensure unity, justice, prosperity, and representation for all member states of our region.
Article I – Regional Identity
The Region shall be known as Midville Empire.
All member nations within Midville Empire shall be bound by this Constitution.
Midville Empire is a sovereign collective of independent nations, united for peace, diplomacy, defense, and regional prosperity.
Article II – Membership
Membership in Midville Empire is open to any peaceful nation that agrees to abide by this Constitution.
A nation may voluntarily leave the region at any time.
Member nations must not act in hostility against fellow members.
Member nations are expected to participate in regional activities, discussions, and decision-making.
Article III – The Government of Midville Empire
Section 1: The Regional Council
The Regional Council shall be the legislative body of Midville Empire.
Each member nation shall have one vote in the Council.
The Council shall pass laws, treaties, resolutions, and amendments.
Laws require a majority vote to pass unless otherwise stated.
Section 2: The Regional Executive
The Regional Governor shall be the chief executive and head of state of Midville Empire.
The Governor shall be elected every 3 months by the member nations.
The Governor:
Represents Midville Empire in foreign affairs.
Enforces the Constitution and laws.
May propose laws to the Council.
The Governor may appoint Ministers to assist in governance.
Section 3: Judiciary
The Regional Court interprets this Constitution and settles disputes between nations.
Judges are appointed by the Governor with Council approval.
All nations are subject to the rulings of the Court.
Article IV – Regional Security
All nations of Midville Empire pledge to protect the region and each other from external threats.
A Regional Defense Force (RDF) may be formed and managed by the Governor and Council.
War against another member nation is strictly forbidden.
Article V – Rights and Duties of Member Nations
Each nation has the right to:
Sovereignty over internal affairs.
Vote on regional matters.
Freedom of speech within the regional forum.
Each nation must:
Uphold this Constitution.
Promote peace and cooperation.
Report violations of regional law.
Article VI – Amendments
Amendments to this Constitution require:
A proposal by any nation or the Governor.
A 2/3 vote in favor by the Regional Council.
Upon approval, the amendment becomes part of the Constitution.
Article VII – Enforcement and Supremacy
This Constitution is the supreme law of the Region of Midville Empire.
No law or decree of any member nation may override this Constitution within regional matters.
Failure to comply may result in sanctions, suspension, or ejection from the region.
