Spain re-establishes limited conscription and establishes the Army Secondary Reserve Corps amid renewed expansion of the Spanish military

TURKEY TO INTERCEPT REFUGEE BOATS

With multiple European States whining about Refugees after less than a week of fighting in Lebanon, the Turkish Foreign Ministry in coordination with Representatives of the Naval Forces has announced that Turkey shall intercept Refugee boats heading away from Lebanon and re-route them to Northern Cyprus where the Turkish Government shall assign a total of 420 million USD on an annual basis to construct and maintain a tent based Refugee center providing safety to those Refugees. Responsibility for Law Enforcement and the protection of said center shall fall to the Northern Cyprus Security Forces Command, an independent wing of the Armed Forces possessing a total active force of 15,000. The Turkish Government will try to work closely with foreign States and organizations wishing to assist in the form of supplies or manpower, however is fully committed to independently covering the cost in both men and supplies. As the number of Refugees increase, new Camps will be established in order to keep their organization manageable under different Camp administrations.

In the effort to ensure the guarantee of peace, prosperity, and development across the Middle East through Islamic solidarity, The Abdulrahman Caliphate and Turkey have officially formalized a joint security protocol and mechanism for the protection of the Greater Middle East in particular but the Muslim World as a whole. Coined the Doctrine of Islamic Integrity, the Abdulrahman Caliphate and Turkey shall convene for the defense of the Greater Middle East against encroaching influences and pressures by non-Muslim nations and internal non-state threats to regional security. The signing of the Doctrine signals a friendly competitive relationship between Abu Dhabi and Ankara but a relationship that births a new sense of necessary cooperation between the two most powerful Muslim nations for the uplifting and protection of Muslims. Both Abdulrahman and Erdogan have stressed both nations will not tolerate non-Muslim powers dictating and supplanting influences within the Islamic World that does not directly benefit and empower Muslims. Saharan Wolf 22 Exercises Conducted With SADR

Units of the Maghrebi Army and Air Force have conducted the 21st annual Saharan Wolf exercises with the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army. The exercises involved a total of 12,000 troops from both countries. The exercises involved Sahrawi and Maghrebi motorized infantry, armor, and air power. Officials described the exercises as a part of the continued bond between Maghreb and the Sahrawi people since independence. The exercises draw their name from the literal Saharan Wolf, a folk legend common to the Maghreb and Sahara region. The exercises will continue through the month of January, culminating in a division-level mock battle between both forces. They were observed by military and political leaders in both countries.

The Western Sahara conflict, persecuted in part by former King Hassan II, ended in 2004 when Sahrawi was officially declared independent of Maghreb. The move followed an overwhelmingly positive independence referendum in West Sahara and was supported by King Muhammed VI. Since independence, Maghreb and SADR have signed a series of treaties and agreements tying the countries close together. The countries have a mutual defense treaty, open borders, a free trade agreement, and a military joint anti-terror command. Due to its relative economic reliance on Maghreb, Sahrawi has been functionally a dependency of Maghreb since its foundation. The country remains a thinly-veiled dictatorship under President Brahim Ghali and is politically dominated by the Polisario Front which Ghali is also the leader of. Though founded as a Marxist group, the Polisario Front abandoned those ideals over time as it became more pragmatically focused on independence. Now it’s internally fractured ideologically but is largely loyal to the whims of Ghali. Far removed from its socialist past, the most dominant faction in the Front are Islamists associated with the Maghrebi Green Alliance. Still, the country has been an avid support of anti-terror efforts and squashing Islamic Extremism in Maghreb.
