Zabol, unlike many other towns and cities in Iran, was one of the "unwanted" children, as those areas are referred to. Forgotten and placed into shadows. The world knew Iran from big stars like Tehran, Shiraz or Mashhad. Small towns were "cute and adorable", and coast cities were filled with tourists. But areas like Zabol, like the East of Iran, were and are a nightmare willing to be forgotten.

The city had little skyline of buildings in the distance, but right in front of the reporter, a car with an open roof would stop. The Cuban military has mobilized under General Díaz’s orders to push the Chinese out of Cuba. They have been ordered to stand their ground and maintain control over all systems and weaponry that have been placed under Cuban control since the beginning of the open relations with China and the Soviet Union. If Chinese troops attempt to engage with the Cuban military then the order will be given to return fire against the 3,500 Chinese soldiers stationed at Sandino Joint Naval-Airbase. The Chinese are in any case vastly outnumbered and outgunned not only by their own weaponry but also by that of the Soviets. Díaz will show no mercy to the Chinese if they choose to fight. It would be best if they simply packed their bags and left just as quickly as they came.
