December 19th is an important day in Encessian history, as it is the anniversary of the Battle of Giporo. Giporo was the culmination of the Wars of Unification, fought in the Giporo Valley in central Skythea. The forces of the Anteban Empire under King Abraam's direct command would be pitted against the final nobility and their armies of the small kingdoms that dominated our land who betrayed unity and sided with the remains of the Skythean raiders to undermine his supposed God given rule. While many of the details will remain wrapped in golden bows and tending to deviate from the truth, the battle of Giporo was a miracle victory for the vastly outnumbered Antebans, and only through this unlikely victory was the Golden Age of our nation ushered in. Encessia stood united, and in that unity they would soon go on to assert themselves in the world as a superpower of the High Middle Ages.
The Day of Giporo is not just the anniversary of a battle, but a testament to the unity of the Encessian people. A state holiday observed by almost all of the population. It is a day of great national pride and a look back on heritage. In this year, on this day, Encessia is stronger than it has been in decades- but it does not stand completely united.
Tavmjdomare Beridze made a trip to the monument of Giporo, a twenty foot tall marble statue detailing a group of Anteban horse archers carrying a tattered Anteban flag towards victory, situated near the same sandstone rock where King Abraam rallied his men before their final charge. It was on this rock that Beridze would stand upon, as King Abraam had hundreds of years ago, and address the people who had gathered there to commemorate.
"In the year 1235 the father of our nation stood upon this simple rock, and he spoke to his tired and hurting men words of destiny and faith. Destiny in what they would become, faith in their ability to get there. Those same men would go on to form the pride and joy of our hearts- Encessia. Now here, many years later, I shall do the same. Look around you to what we have created, a New Encessia- a peaceful Encessia where our children and their children may live long and happy lives whether they be Skythean, Encessian, Larzali, Urozakian, man, woman, Muslim, Christian...An Encessia where conflict resolves by reason and not warfare, where a simple thought or expression cannot be outlawed...This is what we have made! So I will say it again: this is the dawn of our new Golden Age, look towards and the future- and sob no more. This is the end of our sorrows! Gaumarjos Ents'eti!"
Beridze's speech was followed by heavy applause by the collection of press, locals, and those who travelled alike. Following his conclusion he was inquired by our own journalists on his next plans, and in his promises of unity would he address the continued existence of an autonomous Inner Urozakia.
"Our next step is to assimilate the people of Inner Urozakia. We must show them that we are ready to welcome them under our banner, yet respect their differences in culture and religion. We stand stronger together, and we need them to be a core state of our nation. Will we resort to violence? No. I refuse to raise arms against fellow Kolchuns in our de jure borders. The strongest weapon in our modern world...is a silver tongue."
The assimilation of Urozakia may be closer than most realize. With the popularity of their corrupted government falling and the continued success of Encessia, many Inner Urozakians will accept unity following Beridze's promises of cultural recognition. His words can be traced back to action, with the state recognition of the Skythean and Larzali languages and his connection to minority groups as the son of a Skythean mother. However many officials in the autonomous government do not support unity, stating that Encessia "once more is attempting to subject the Urozakian people as they have for centuries".
Despite these issues, President Grzhania and Tavmjdomare Beridze have arranged a summit in Osteia where they will discuss future action. Beridze has retained his promise of non-violence, and all military mobilizations on their mutual border due to the terrorist attack of Red Esako have been grinded to a halt [...]

They're not exactly the cream of the crop, all things considered, but they make good money transporting other people's [EXPLETIVE REMOVED]. I say, that money's as good as ours. Reason being, their computer security is top tier garbage, so much so that I've got access to all of their online archives. Contracts, salary logs, tax returns, everything.
Of them, one's gotten my attention. Apparently, they've got a shipment of assets - maybe gold, maybe cash, the contract doesn't specify - coming up next week. It's headed from Escjârive to Satornia, then from there to Inna. Whoever wans this cash moved clearly doesn't want it here, so we have to act fast. If you guys are up for it, then get a plan together in the next few days. We can't let this vulnerable target get out of the country.

Hi again. We came to a decision about how to proceed. I know I said this wasn't a great idea, but... We're willing to take the offer. We figured that if we went through with it now, we can still hit up the ████████████████ at a later date, with a much better plan. This will be plenty to hold us over until then, especially with the rest of the bank job cash still in cleaning.
Do you have any timetable for when the truck will be in Inna? There's festivals in 
Shadoveil the night of the 26th. If it's gonna be over the border by then, we can strike at it just before it reaches it's destination. That'll also take some heat off of us in Vescarium, even if the security is a bit higher in the east.
Besides, nobody will bat an eye while they're off partying. It's about as good as we can get for this job. We get time to plan, and a perfect storm of environmental factors that maximises our chances of success. If the timing is good, we can pull off this caper just fine.

Nation braces for election; interim govt. to be established following results
- The nation braces for the third election in a year, as 17 and 18 January 2022 will see voting to elect a new Constituent Island Meeting, which will be responsible for drafting and implementing a new constitution. The body, which will replace the Nuejel as the island's legislature, is expected to appoint a *provisional Island Government* from amongst its members to lead the government in the interim.
In a return to form, voting will be held on a non-partisan basis, with political parties all but banned and replaced with new political organisations. The move, condemned and applauded in equal measure, looks to return Freice to its pre-2021 political landscape, in which independent politicians dominated.
Senior Council Leader Eɖia Kiȧrɉǡ has said that the Senior Council will be abolished in one of the new assembly's first actions, with the "coup bodies" replaced with constitutional ones.
On 20 January, the Meeting will meet to begin the process of writing a new constitution. Different approaches have been proposed; these include a step-by-step approach that will see a succession of "entrenched" documents drafted instead of one single document.
Another popular proposal is the re-adoption of the 1972 Constitution on a permanent basis with significant amendments, with hopes that this would shorten the length of time taken to draft the new document.
The Meeting will vote on which approach it will take. Councillor Kiȧrɉǡ has indicated her support for amending the 1972 document.
Aŋịarǡ Ne̩ze, former President of the Assembly of Delegates, has announced her candidacy, also looking to restore the previous constitution. A 'continuity candidate', Ms. Ne̩ze hopes to represent the pre-Common Wealth system and add a sense of legitimacy to a body that has attracted criticism and controversy.

In preparation for "EnterExEast," District Media and Fairfax launch new programs
District Media announced that it would launch a new news service dedicated specifically to eastern economic analysis and reporting. Simply titled The Eastern Econmist, it will follow ExEast and the economy of the member states of the Saltstil Pact. The Eastern Economist now stands next to other news services District Media runs such as The Layfet Daily, Layfet Times, The Mainland Report, and Gavrilita Magazine.
Fairfax Financial announced it will be launching a trading app that will include everything from stocks like Botanica to cryptocurrencies like Eastcoin and Vincominmeme. The app will be launched January 2nd and users will be able to begin setting up their accounts. Those accounts can be linked to their bank accounts to automatically manage money between the platform and their bank. The app will also be able to display the price of a stock in all the different member states currency. The app is called EastStock.

The Fichmani government will launch a state run tv channel and streaming service before the new year. The Minister for the arts and culture is expected to lead the new service. The service will be funded by taxes, advertising and donations. The Channel will be called FNTV and FNTV2, and the streaming service will be called FNPlayer.

Artifacts recovered from long lost gravesite during mining operations
Mining operations at Layfet Land Logistics's bauxite mine halted over the weekend when the mine came across a long lost gravesite from the time of the War of Moncaine Agression in the early 1400s. The gravesite is currently being investigated by the University of Layfet's Archeological Department as well as the District Archeological Office.
So far the earliest gravestone appears to be from 1416 and the latest gravestone from 1422. Some artifacts retrieved from the site include pieces of armor and swords, along with other smaller items that will need to be analyzed later. Time is needed to confirm who exactly might be buried there. The DAO is working with the Executive Minister's office to determine if the gravesite ought to be preserved at it's current location or moved.
