Greetings,
Gipper here, from Pacific Defenders.
I am writing to all of the nations of the STARS region because your region is now immediately in peril for the following reasons ...
Your founder has CTE'd. If you can contact him and get him to resurrect his nation, this would be the optimum solution to the problem you all now face. I just checked and, of course! The WA for your region is gifted with executive powers. This means that any raider outfit can come in, get their delegate elected, and then control your region - eventually ejecting every nation in STARS and claiming the region permanently as theirs.
Whether you know it or not, STARS is one of the regions that updates LAST at the conclusion of every update. This makes it attractive to Raiders, who can use it to leisurely launch raids up and down NationStates from your region. THEY WILL COME AND TAKE IT, EVENTUALLY. As an analogy - STARS is equivalent to a Beverly Hills estate with a big sign on it that reads: "Free to Invaders".
None of you currently has any border control authority, no one can eject any invading nations.
My recommendation is that two of the nations of this region band together and join the World Assembly - and then pick one nation to endorse as delegate. My recommendation is to select Minnesconsin as the delegate, since that nation has a MASSIVE amount of influence - enough to implement a PASSWORD on the region, which will temporarily protect it from raiders.
If only one nation in this region is regularly active, then you can use XANADU for the second (voting) nation. I sent her in to camp out in STARS to build up influence in the region. The plan was, all else failing, perhaps myself and other defenders could install her as the delegate and MAYBE she would have enough influence to protect the region. That's an impossibility though, because I don't think there is enough time to build up that kind of influence.
However, if only one of you is active, you can use her vote to put that nation in the delegate seat.
Long range, once the region is secure - it can be refounded by one of you.
