You. Hey you. Congratulations leader on your ascent to power! I always believed in your of course, I just didn't think it could go that fast. Though, why you chose now to rise. There's some turmoil going on, and we're not sure whether the next war will begin next week. But, you're here, and the people seem to like you. You ready? I've got your first briefing ready to go. For a nation to start his experience in the RolePlay, he must make a factbook detailing information about the nation he wishes to found on the map. In his detailed Factbook, it should include information about his leader, government type, economic situation, military stats, etc. This doesn't need to be a essay long factbook but something that helps other RPers get to know you as you join a community. The applicant must have a nation in The Democratic Republic. An exemption to this may be granted by the Director of RolePlay with approval by Department of Immigration. Once all of the registration requirements are met, the nation needs to submit their application that includes all the required materials, to the Director of RolePlay for admittance. Once admitted the new member may claim a spot on the RolePlay map and begin his journey.

The growing tumult in European nations has set the continent in a state of disorder, it is clear that unrest has reached a breaking point— the world's largest monarchies teetering on the edge of revolution. A new era has brought upon an onslaught of change, and with change comes the struggle to evolve— Britain and Germany are in a desperate battle to save their collapsing empires, all while the colonial superpowers of Japan and Canada scramble for territory in the Far East.
But with any part of history— comes the question of what could have been, what if Japan never landed on the west coast of North America? Or if Russia managed to industrialize? Seize the opportunity to explore such ideas in this RP— turn The United States to a colonial empire, or force your neighbors on their knees as the Qing. The choice is yours.

Auxiliary Rules for Claims:
-If custom, then the lore must back up the extent of the claim (ex: You cannot claim all of South America and then not have any lore already there.)
-If the area you are trying to claim is claimed, you may not claim it
-They must have historical precedent. (meaning that the lore must be based in historical fact)
-Claims for custom nations cannot be audaciously large. (ex: you cannot claim an entire continent)
-Exclusive to the British Empire, you may claim SOME of their existing colonial territories but not all of it as to make more space in the rp.
Rules for War
To prevent chaotic wars, the rules are as follows:
-There must be a formal declaration of war post and the person having war declared upon them must be notified and consent to said war. (although this does not mean you can just refuse every war, you must provide valid reasoning as to why you are unable to do it.)
-GMs will oversee the war and declare who wins the battles based on their UNBIASED knowledge and opinion.
-Battles will go with an initial attack by the aggressor and then a defense by the defending country
-There must be a valid casus belli before the war begins
-GMs must be UNBIASED
-Godmodding is explicitly forbidden. Use of godmodding can, and will result in serious punishment.
-Metagaming, much like Godmodding, is explicitly forbidden. Use of knowledge outside of the roleplay to one's advantage can and will result in serious punishment.
Engaging in activities explicitly stated to be moderated without a moderator can result in moderate to severe punishment. Activities like claiming and wars are such activities.
Rules for Posts/Lore
Posts must be at least 3 sentences. (in order for detail and to actually have interest to read it)
The short lore in the application must be at most a paragraph long and at least 3 sentences.

Rules for Colonization
Colonies are special in how they will be managed, especially since the Victorian era was rife with them. Therefore the rules will be as follows:
-An pre-invasion post that includes it’s strategic value as a colony and your forces moving in to get the colony
-An invasion post that is you actively invading the unclaimed land and fighting the natives.
-A post-invasion post where you set up the colonial government and choose the colonial governor.
These posts must be detailed and of good quality, as if they are not it would not only be way too easy to colonize but would ruin the experience of colonizing. These posts should be at least 4 sentences and above and cannot be confusing or mind-boggling. The colony also must be able to be feasibly made and maintained by your nation. The Berlin Conference or a conference of that sort may be called by a player when the Scramble for Africa begins. The Scramble for Africa may occur in 1865 or later

The Republic of Trev is founded!
The Great Governor of Texas Trev has lead a secessionist movement from the U.S. Texas broke away from the United States, and Mexico took advantage and captured part of Texas. The Trevian Army was able to fend off a lot of the Mexican attacks but our of strategy let go of west Texas to Mexico. Peace was signed and the Republic of Trev was established. The main export is oil, and the constitution is very close to that of The United States. Trev is acting President, and is in his first year in office.
Trev is elected President
In an almost uncontested election Trev has won the presidential election in the Republic of Trev. It was a landslide victory considering he was technically the founder of this new Republic. Trev is a totally pro democracy leader, and believes in strong border security, and military buildup. He plans to grow the economy and lower taxes on all Trevians. The free press is very favorable to Trev and this looks a lot like the George Washington scenario.
Legislature is Elected
The Trevian Legislature was elected! The Democratic Party won 14 seats out of the 30 seats in the one branch legislature known as senate. The Republicans won the other 16. Both parties seem to support independent president Trev, and all are united in fighting against intervention or interference in the Republic of Trevs national sovereignty.
Trevian Republic ranked as most hospitable place on earth
The Republic of Trev was ranked number 1 in hospitality in a new study by BBC. People here are very accepting, and welcome all people to the great patriotic Trevian countryside. The President released a statement endorsing this rank, and excited that the population behaved this way. He was very proud of his republic, and he has high aspirations for this term.

The Trevian Government conquers southern Louisiana
The President Trev said the following in his speech to Congress asking to declare war, “this territory is not American Territory, not Mexican territory, but Trevian territory. It is our Devine right to conquer this land, and dominate this hemisphere.” Congress cheered to this speech, and with a 23-7 vote in congress the Trevian Republic declared war on the remainder of the United States that had not been divided into Jbian or fifjian territory. The U.S was in a very weak state with all these secessions, and the Trevians believed it would not be too hard to conquer this territory. With that the commander and chief sent the 5th and 6th battalion made up of 20,000 well trained troops, 14 tanks, 26 armored vehicles, 2 self propelled artillery guns all armed with guns like Ak-47, MK-16s, and a few machine guns. The Commander and Chief also sent the USS Texas and 1 destroyer to the Louisiana coast. On the aircraft carrier was 3 f-16 attack planes, and 4 utility helicopters. The Trevian Republic paid off a American Spy to become part of the Trevian republic and help in this war. He accepted because America was crumbling. He reported back to the Americans that the Trevians were planning an attack on Northern Louisiana. At the same time the Trevian army began their march towards New Orleans. The Trevian Army was successful in taking New Orleans, and continued to march through Louisiana with little opposition. When the U.S army began to march south they met the Trevian army mid way through Louisiana and their was a stalemate. Both set up forts and were preparing for a battle in Alexandria. In the meantime the Trevian forces had captured Southern Louisiana. The Trevian government in the meantime sent the 4th border brigade to the eastern border. A flank was coming in Alexandria, and it will be interesting to see. For now the Trevians has captured southern Louisiana, but had thier eyes on bigger goals.
The Republic of Trev government begins selling war bonds
In the midst of this war the Trevians were in a good place Economically, but were trying to prevent going far into debt. The Trevian government began an advertisement program to sell war bonds, and it was a success. The Patriotic energy in the Republic of Trev had never been higher. People were working on factories to produce goods, the military was doing its job, and the people were happy!

South Pennsylvania and Delaware join the Union
The founding fathers of America JB have met in the city of Springfield in the territory of Illinois. There they ratified the Constitution of The United States of America JB in a contentious debate and vote. Next, they voted to make the States of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio member States of America JB with the delegations of those States voting in favor. With was a birth of a nation and a great victory for the people of the now, United States of America JB. With that, the America JBian government must be set up. For President, the democrats are running Haultz Franker, who was a professor at the University of Michigan. On the other side, the Republicans are running John Tyler, who was a mayor of Indianapolis for 10 years. The results have came in for the Presidential election and John Tyler has won by a 5 point lead. As he was celebrating he also got word that the Republicans have won the Senate and the House.
It is now time for the inaugural address. President to be John Tyler walks to the mic and says, "My Fellow America JBians, together we have formed this nation out of nothing. Together we will expand it and protect our national interest abroad. We will make friends with the people on this continent and defend it against any and all who wish to do it harm." With that, John Tyler takes the oath of office and he is officially the first President of America JB. The crowed cheers and President Tyler is ushered off the stage as a hero.
As this is happening the nation of Pennsylvania is engaged in a bloody civil war. The Hashins of the north assassinated the Lakin South King of Pennsylvania. With that, the south declared rebellion and war and for about three months, that has happened. President Tyler of America JB has referred to this war as a struggle of the masses and wished for them to fight it out without America JBian support, but showed some sympathy to the South. Within another two months of fighting the South has won and seceded from the North to form the United Provinces of South Pennsylvania. In the halls of their new assembly, there is some worry that the nation of New York might come in and support the Pennsylvanian army to squash their new nation. So, the Southern Pennsylvanian assembly send Sir Patrick La Quincy to Springfield to negotiate a admittance of their nation as a State of America JB.
The nation of Delaware hears of this, since they greatly supported the Southern Pennsylvanian army in the civil war, they too want to be admitted into the United States of America JB to save themselves from New York revenge. They too send a delegate to Springfield to apply to join. Within four days, the delegates arrive at the Capitol building of America JB and officially apply to join. The General Assembly votes and admits them into the Union as full fledged States. This is a great victory for freedom in the region, and as President Tyler wrote, "A grand old entry of America JB onto the world stage."
This has not gone un noticed though, the New York King sees this as a threat and pens a letter to the President of America JB, in which part of it reads, ".. This type of action is a threat to our Kingdom. You must cease and desist or a retaliation will be met. We do not want this to come to a war, so this is your warning." President Tyler wrote back to the king explaining to him that we can sign a peace agreement if war is preventable. The King of New York is pondering that request. Though it's not much to ask, this could mean the prosperity of America JB in the region or a bloody war no sides want to get involved in.
"Seeing as these independent governments chose on their own to apply and join America JB, I see no reason why war is required or should occur and this time with the great Kingdom of New York. They are very much friends of mine and I wish them and their people the best of luck." President Tyler said in a newspaper. With that, America JB is now a coastal nation and a step from war with a mighty power.
Just to be sure and prepared, President Tyler is not just going to let his borders stay defenseless during this time. In anticipation of an attack on Delaware or South Pennsylvania, Tyler orders troops to those areas and set up camps to report directly back to Springfield. The State assemblies are also secured by the America JBian army, screening those who enter.

Welcome to the Regional League Baseball (RLB)
In this league there shall be two conferences, containing eight teams each with a total of one-hundred and seventy-six games being played in the regular season. The top four teams in each conference will make the playoffs, with the winners of the conference championship series heading to the world series as the best teams in their respective conferences. The playoffs will start at the divisional series, then the conference championship series and finally the world series.

Each game in the League will be decided through an official league simulator each season. In the Regional League Baseball there shall be a limit of sixteen total teams, with teams being evenly distributed into two separate divisions. If a member nation of The Democratic Republic, leaves the region then either their team shall be transferred to a new player or will be an independent team until transferred to other player.

Non-Player Character Response
A rebel group with pro United States sympathies has been formed in South Louisiana.
Ten well trained special ops have been ordered by the US army to integrate into South Louisiana and act like normal people.
At 5 am in the morning, the squad of 10 well trained special ops in New Orleans assassinated two Trevian high ranking soldiers and fled into the night.
They left a note which read, "This is the final warning for the Trevian army." What is to come and how will the Trevian army react to this news?
The Trevian Government responds
The President said this in an emergency press conference, “we will destroy these ten people, and our land will be claimed. This was an act of terror, and we ask that the United States be punished severely by the international community. In the meantime we will punish them severely.” The Trevian National guard was put high alert to guard the borders. 2/10 were caught leaving the Trevian countryside the rest are thought to have escaped. The Trevians maintained there territory, yet this highly increased citizens purchase of firearms in the area.

Vandalia is Formed
As tensions between royalists and the current government of Ireland begin rising, war begins to break out. The royalists move in on central Dublin and begin to torch the city as the military fought back. Hoping to escape the inevitable spread of violence, 560,000 people flee Ireland to the east coast of North America. After 20 days at sea, the ships arrived in the Chesapeake Bay.
The ships unloaded the people onto the banks of the nearby Potomac River where they began establishing a temporary settlement. Others began traveling north along the Potomac River until they reached Washington D.C. Upon discovering D.C, the settlers began a march from their settlement to take D.C. It took a long while before D.C's militia noticed the invasion and were taken by surprise because of it. The battle stretched across the entire city as the Irish immigrants crept closer and closer to both the White House and the Capitol. They finally broke through the doors and took D.C. Now with the Washington Militia, the settlers knew they could sweep through the rest of Maryland and move into Appalachia.
Four weeks after taking D.C, the Washington Militia was split and sent out into the eastern panhandle of West Virginia and eastern Maryland. The Maryland division easily swept through the rest of the state while the West Virginia division struggled to advance. They first landed in the town of Harper's Ferry where they were met by friendly townsfolk who allowed them to set up a base of operations in the community. However as they moved northwest into Martinsburg, the people in the city revolted. Some citizens, mostly women and children, fled both ways to Harper's Ferry and the nearby Berkeley Springs. Many men stayed behind in the city to fend off the invasion. Alas, they failed to stop the militia after they swept in to take the town. The Washington Militia continued to sweep through West Virginia until the entire state had been conquered. They moved their base of operations to the southern town of Lewisburg and began to make plans for their next invasion. They eyed up the neighboring states of Ohio and Kentucky but decided against it as they were not ready for a war. Then, they began to study the independent state of Virginia and saw it as the next target. The newly acquired West Virginia Militia and the Washington Militia quickly swept in from their respective areas.
Not much retaliation was met in the west and the West Virginia Militia took western Virginia. However, the eastern front saw gruesome fighting the moment they crossed the Potomac from D.C. Many from both sides perished in the deadly advance to Richmond. They eventually took Richmond and swept through the rest of Virginia to meet the West Virginia Militia. After calculations, a total of 28,000 people died on the eastern front of what would be called the Shenandoah War.
After taking control of Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia, the central power in Washington D.C came together to establish a representative democracy based around two houses, an executive power, and a powerful judicial house. The country of Vandalia was officially established on June 20, 1919.

New York President William Polk hears of this development, and too wishes to create a great Confederation. Delaware will certainly be a nuisance, so Polk resolves to send twenty thousand troops let by Colonel Travis into Delaware, with the pretense of helping stabilize the state.
The northern part of the state, mostly inhabited by New Yorkers welcomes the New York army. When Delaware learns of this, they decide to send thirty thousand troops to face off the New Yorkers at Middletown. In response, New York sends twenty thousand more troops.
Both armies dig it, building artillary positions, trenches, and other defenses for the seemingly inevitable battle.

President John Tyler of America JB, warns the New York army to retreat from Delaware, seeing as that is a State of America JB. "This is an abomination that the New Yorkers are wishing to "stabilize" a state that does not belong to them. This must be a misunderstanding that we should come to a peaceful solution about." President Tyler said. With that, the King of New York responds.
"My apologize to the President of America JB and the State of Delaware. There has been false intelligence that has been portrayed to me I guess. Effective immediately, New York troops are to leave Delaware and we are to come into a peace agreement between our two sovereign nations." The New York King delivered to the people of New York. There is a meeting scheduled with the King of New York and President of America JB within days.
It is that time, the historic meeting is set to take place and President Tyler welcomes the New York King to his Executive Mansion in Springfield, Illinois. At first, things are as a parade in the streets. Then, the President and King head into a closed session meeting where they officially sign the treaty that says neither side will get involved with the other for a period of 3 months. This is to cool down the tension between both nations and make sure to stays.
