The Disputed Territories of Wormless is a very large, safe nation, notable for its pith helmet sales, ubiquitous missile silos, and fear of technology. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 272 million Wormessians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Administration, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 67.5%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but underdeveloped Wormlessian economy, worth 11.1 trillion Marks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is led by the Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is 40,814 Marks, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The nationalistic national anthem inspires citizens to literally spit at foreigners, drunk drivers are sent to rehabilitation paid for by the government, pulling weeds is seen as a threat to national security, and public footpaths are being slowly eroded by the burgeoning number of ramblers. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Wormless's national animal is the Worm, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Wormless is ranked 214,731st in the world and 838th in Talonia for Fattest Citizens, with 8.96 Obesity Rate.
