The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Administration, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 28.9%.

The Pandustan economy, worth 471 billion dorebs a year, is dominated by the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Information Technology, and Basket Weaving. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 58,942 dorebs, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.2 times as much as the poorest.

The tenet of free speech is held dear, all major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras, fake designer clothes are shredded and burnt while many in the world don't have a shirt on their back, and the government is reining in public spending. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Pandusta's national animal is the squirrel, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Pandusta is ranked 103,259^th in the world and 215^th in Starlight for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring 3,235.41 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
