86 badges (87 if you count the Easter egg issues badge) for both myself and Crazed monkies is the most I could find in the region from a quick look. Not certain that's the most, but it quite probably is.

Time playing the game has nothing to do with how many badges you get.

When you consider that there are only 71 ranking categories and that I am #1 in the region in 18 of these categories, with a further 49 being for Top 1% of the world/region - to do so in that amount of time, and competing against nations that have been around more than 3 times as long, yeah, I'd say it's pretty good. Can't really ask for much better. I doubt there are any nations in the world with 100 badges (possibly 1 or 2) and very few in the 90's either - I've only seen a couple.

I did have 88 badges 12 days ago, but dropped out of the top 10% in the world for largest population due to a drop in the number of nations. Think it's been as high as 91 or 92 with WA endorsements and Most Conservative badges previously, so it could be a bit higher, but I'm nearly as high as I'll get until they introduce more ranking categories.

I think you will find that time does affect a lot of the rankings Kris, as with a lot of them, your score will keep increasing over time the more you respond certain ways to issues, i.e. the industry and enviro ones. I will agree it isn't too hard to get a badge by getting into the top 10% for a lot of these categories (just need to wait for that category to be ranked), but getting to the top is a lot harder, as older nations have been able to answer more issues and have had more chances to increase their score.
