How much did it cost for the entire trip mainly the airfare.

Greetings!

Good question. I was there for the military, so I didn't have to pay out of pocket.

Wow Dude! Those were great! Both Heidelberg and Frankfort are so old. We are sure there must be skyscrapers somewhere, but you sure did not see them in most of your pix. The apothecaries were amazing. Just wow! The elaborate and ornate sculptures were unbelievable. The bas relief was outstanding. We are still trying to figure out that strange "clock" with all the zodiac symbols. As far as we could tell, it is half past Virgo. Did you get some snow in Trier? Those were some pretty amazing sculptures and paintings in the cathedral there. All three of these cities are so old. It is nice to see that they are preserving their heritage as much as they are. Thank you for sharing those Trec Buddy! Oh yeah, eat a few more cheeseburgers or kielbasas; you are still thin as a rail! :)

Lucky you think your sooooo great with your free travel and free cup holders. Lol NA your okay man.

Treir is the oldest city in Germany, being founded in 17 BC, and some of the buildings I visited were as old as 2nd Century AD (100's). It tried to snow the one day we were in Germany, but nothing stuck. Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with the zodiac clock. I saw that in a few places.

NewTexas wrote:Woo, that was a good Super Bowl! It was a battle of defenses. We are happy for Peyton Manning. Maybe this will shut up the haters from earlier this season. Poor Panthers never saw defense like that all season. Even halftime turned out ok despite the poor start by Coldplay. Bruno Mars, of all people, stepped up and saved it. Frankly, we were impressed. Yay Broncos!

Sorry to disagree, but I watched it at a Panther's fans' Super Bowl party, and we unanimously were disappointed. While the Broncos played well, I thought mostly the Panthers just gave the game away. The Panthers just didn't seem to want a victory all that badly. Being penalized for delay of game for not starting within the time limit? WTH??? I would've felt much better if both sides had played to their full potentials and it had been a close game, even if the Panthers had lost.... The commercials and halftime show were way better, and I thought Lady Gaga's rendition of the National Anthem was the best I've ever heard--and I've heard PLENTY!

**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Repeal "Nuclear Waste Safety Act"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal Resolution: GA#116 Proposed by: Sobluruk

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #116: Nuclear Waste Safety Act (Category: International Security; Strength: Significant) shall be struck out"...

<see page=ga for full text>

Oh goodie, we have a new Repeal! And an oldie but baddie to boot! When this one came around in October, 2010, Texans were pretty much against it with 1 votes for, 7 against and 1 abstain. As the author points out and as we stated 6 years ago, this one means well, but doesn't actually do anything significant and could be a lot better. As a reminder, the issue here is the REPEAL of the existing law. A vote AGAINST this Resolution means you are in favor of the existing law and do not want it repealed. A vote FOR this Resolution means you want the law off the books. NewTexas will go on record as FOR on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was flat on the last GA vote -- Explosive Remnants of War -- which was passed after gaining 74.24% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 4 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 3 FOR and 1 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were almost unanimous.

NewTexas has already voted on this Resolution in advance of publicly expressed opinions. We did this at the urging of many leaders in the World Assembly. As we have been saying for years, Texas is a force in the WA. Many feel that Texas can influence the overall vote if it votes first. There is an observed "lemming effect" that occurs during voting. Apparently a large number of votes are cast based on whichever side of the issue is leading when voters vote. Therefore, to get the most impact from our vote, we are now voting first. We will re-evaluate our original vote at midnight prior to the current vote. As always, we are open to suggestions on how we should vote on this Resolution to most accurately reflect opinion of the populace. Comments are welcome from all nations, both WA Members as well as those who are not. Please make your voice heard on the current issue either on this message board or on our offsite message board. But, by all means, please vote on the WA Page!

If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All WA Member nations please vote. Please make your opinions known in Texas by 11:00pm Wednesday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00am Texas Time on Thursday the 18th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 1121 Votes AGAINST: 4578

Oh goodie again, we have a new Repeal! Sarcasm, peeps. When this one came around in April, 2015, Texans were pretty much for it with 5 votes for and 1 against. The deal is, a coup is a coup whether you were stoned or not. Stupid argument. As a reminder, the issue here is the REPEAL of the existing law. The Texas response was down on the last SC vote -- Repeal "Condemn DEN" -- which was passed after gaining 69.83% of the vote. **** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Cluster Munitions Accord
A resolution to slash worldwide military spending.

Category: Global Disarmament Strength: Mild Proposed by: Hobbesistan

Description: The esteemed General Assembly of this World Assembly,

RECOGNIZING that unexploded, improperly placed, and intentionally disruptive cluster munitions"...

<see page=ga for full text>

Wahootie! The World Assembly wants to protect us from cluster bomb clusterettes. Yay! The WA wants cluster devices to either shred you immediately or shred you later after a timer has gone off, or, render itself useless for good measure. Ah, the new warm and fuzzy cluster bomb - doesn't it just warm your heart? And, if you don't put a timer in your cluster bomb clusterettes, or your duds change their minds, then the WA gets to penalize you somehow. Have we mentioned how little we like war legislation lately? NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was up on the last GA vote -- Repeal "Nuclear Waste Safety Act" -- which was defeated after gaining only 17.50% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 6 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 3 FOR and 3 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were totally split. We exercised our delegatory tie-breaking power by voting For.

I must say its amazing that members of the Enterprise are capable of so much diversity.
Over the years the team hasn't changed and yet they were able to master every discipline in previous cross regional Olympics: from Diving, to sword picking, to boxing, to witch hunting.
I wonder if they will master Camel race and Parkour as well

It's a mixed crew this time. All 3 main Enterprise crews, members of DS9 & Voyager.

Starfleet trains them well.

I'm pretty sure your talking about the cross regional games aside that I kind of wish they would do a TNG reunion episode set sometime many years in the future. Not like those movies w/the TNG cast but an actual tv reunion episode.

Worf is now the Ambassador to Qo'noS, Data's dead (maybe), Riker & Troi are on the Titan. Wesley is somewhere with Starfleet. That leaves Picard, Geordi, and Dr Crusher still on the Enterprise.

Would be cool to see the Titan on screen.

What about having Q chime in showing Picard the true origin of the Borg? in my view the Borg were a race just like humans but replaced and relied so much on technology they became mindless drones whose only goal was to assimilate other species and their technology into the collective. Or Option 2: the Borg was a failed attempt by early humans of the 21st century to create a human machine hybrid to explore the reaches of deep space, once their the Borgs systems went haywire and they started colonizing and expanding.
