No worries we'll help ya out until you can get your zombie response team together.

T-ZERO Official Announcement

The following link shows Texas in the top 10 for most survivors.

We've successfully reached zero infection in the past, and there's no reason why we can't achieve the same this year. Since final decision in the regional poll was to research a cure, we should all go for the same option. Killing our infected could mean a drop in our rank this year. But those rankings aside, I doubt that we'll be overrun by zombies if everyone works together.

I'm also posting the link to the zombie cure/kill/spread decision page.

When the apocalypse starts, this will be the page to go to in order to research a cure. It can be difficult to find. It was practically hidden during the first apocalypse. Some nations were trying to find it in their issues page. So, keep this link handy.

The apocalypse is set to start on Sunday at 3:00 PM Central. Try to be active around this time. Curing zombies becomes a whole lot easier when more people choose the cure option in the first hour.

Just looked on MSN and on a list for 20 fastest growing cities in America College Station ranked #15 and Bryan ranked #10

Post self-deleted by South aztlan.

It will be one hour behind for Mexico

I'm working Monday, but will launch cure missiles once I get home.

**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new Security Council Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Repeal "Liberate The NSIA"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal Resolution: SC#207 Proposed by: Kaboomlandia

Description: WA Security Council Resolution #207: Liberate The NSIA shall be struck out"...

<see the Security Council for full text and to vote>

Oh goodie a Repeal! No, wait, this is an invader Resolution. When this one came around last week in October, 2016, Texans really did not like it by a vote of 0 for to 3 against. As a nation, we disliked it because it was about invaders wanting to invader another invader region where they claimed the moral high ground because the other invaders were Nazis as well. So now the World Assembly members are ranking levels of scum-bagged-ness? Plain old vanilla invaders are somehow "better" than Nazi invaders? What is next as invaders try to outdo themselves - Zombie Cannibal Nazi Invaders? Sheesh! Well, we were against the last one because the invaders wanted it. Now that they have it, they don't want it so they can lock it down. We still don't want them to get what they want. So we say "No Way" on this one. Invaders suck. As a reminder, the issue here is the REPEAL of the existing law. A vote AGAINST this Resolution means you are in favor of the existing law and do not want it repealed. A vote FOR this Resolution means you want the law off the books. NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was flat on the last SC vote -- Condemn The Invaders -- which was defeated after gaining only 20.47% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 3 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 1 FOR and 2 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were somewhat split.

NewTexas has already voted on this Resolution in advance of publicly expressed opinions. We did this at the urging of many leaders in the World Assembly. As we have been saying for years, Texas is a force in the WA. Many feel that Texas can influence the overall vote if it votes first. There is an observed "lemming effect" that occurs during voting. Apparently a large number of votes are cast based on whichever side of the issue is leading when voters vote. Therefore, to get the most impact from our vote, we are now voting first. We will re-evaluate our original vote at midnight prior to the current vote. As always, we are open to suggestions on how we should vote on this Resolution to most accurately reflect opinion of the populace. Comments are welcome from all nations, both WA Members as well as those who are not. Please make your voice heard on the current issue either on this message board or on our offsite message board. But, by all means, please vote on the WA Page!

If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All WA Member nations please vote. Please make your opinions known in Texas by 11:00pm Sunday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00pm Texas Time on Monday the 31st. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 10426 Votes AGAINST: 1197

Big Tex

PS: Remember, be sure to vote at the World Assembly too!

I also vote for finding a cure!! May Texas forever survive and thrive!!

This is awful.
That means that even if we will close the gates on other sides of the Aido-Kyoto road, there will still be people hiking on the 500km road when the zombie attack will hit.

***** Texas Chat Reminder *****

The Texas Weekly Chat Session will be Saturday (TODAY) at High Noon Texas Time (CDT) ***Saturday***. And, if you can't be there right at Noon, that is Ok, Texas Chat usually runs 3, 4, 5 hours with some Chats running as high as 7 or 8 hours. The current record is a marathon ten hours eleven minutes on September 10, 2016.

The Texas Chat Site is here: http://texasregion.net/blab70/login.php Please register with your nation name. This is a great opportunity for nations old and new to Texas to find out what is going on! We chat, we debate, we talk about the weather, we talk about stuff we like, stuff we hate, random stuff and more stuff. But, it is never stuffy. Usually, it is about meeting your fellow Texans and talking about the latest and most interesting stuff in NationStates at the moment. But then again, sometimes NationStates does not even come up. It is wide-open chatting with peeps from around The World both IRL and NS. It is Texans, EuroTexans, WannabeTexans, ex-Texans and plenty of Friends of Texans. We have it all and all are welcome. Texas Chat, 613 weeks and running! For the math-challenged, that is over 12¼ years! Check it out! Good stuff!

Taste the yum isn't a phrase I'd use much with MREs. They are OK for one or two meals but after a while they lose their appeal.

The only thing I ever liked about MRE's were those tiny Tobasco bottles.

You're welcome to those Mainstay lifeboat rations I bought for Y2K. Only 14 years past their best by date.

Hello everyone. I heard Texas is going to be going the Cure route collectively, so I figured I'd weather the Apocalypse here.

Hello everybody,

I'm not just here for the upcoming zombie infestation but I hope to call this region my permanent home if I'm accepted here. I just need a quiet corner of a fun and interesting region to grow in. Since I gathered frrom the previous posts that we're researching a cure, I will cooperate with this plan to the best of my ability.

Best regards,

***** Texas T-ZERO Announcement *****

Texas is now in lockdown. This action is taken in advance of the projected Zombie Apocalypse to prevent "swarmers" who would try and disrupt T-Zero activities. Do not leave as you will not be allowed back in until the crisis has passed.

Good Luck!

Other then researching a cure I'm ignoring this event. Have fun guys and if you have to eject me for the duration that's fine with me.
