**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Repeal "Stopping Invasive Species"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal Resolution: GA#259 Proposed by: Abacathea

Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #259: Stopping Invasive Species (Category: Environmental; Industry Affected: All Businesses) shall be struck out"...

<see page=ga for full text>

Oh boy, a new Repeal! When this one passed in August, 2013, it was a replacement for a much stricter one. Texans were not much for it by a vote of 2 for and 4 against. As a nation, NewTexas thought it was a blocker to keep out the peeps who are for this one. We liked that each individual nation got to decide what was "invasive". Despite the author calling this "overly-restrictive", we suspect a replacement may be worse and think we should hold with this one. But that is just our opinion. As a reminder, the issue here is the REPEAL of the existing law. A vote AGAINST this Resolution means you are in favor of the existing law and do not want it repealed. A vote FOR this Resolution means you want the law off the books. NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was flat on the last GA vote -- Reproductive Education Act -- which was passed after gaining 75.39% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 6 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 0 FOR and 6 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were unanimous! Yay!

NewTexas has already voted on this Resolution in advance of publicly expressed opinions. We did this at the urging of many leaders in the World Assembly. As we have been saying for years, Texas is a force in the WA. Many feel that Texas can influence the overall vote if it votes first. There is an observed "lemming effect" that occurs during voting. Apparently a large number of votes are cast based on whichever side of the issue is leading when voters vote. Therefore, to get the most impact from our vote, we are now voting first. We will re-evaluate our original vote at midnight prior to the current vote. As always, we are open to suggestions on how we should vote on this Resolution to most accurately reflect opinion of the populace. Comments are welcome from all nations, both WA Members as well as those who are not. Please make your voice heard on the current issue either on this message board or on our offsite message board. But, by all means, please vote on the WA Page!

If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All WA Member nations please vote. Please make your opinions known in Texas by 11:00pm Tuesday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00pm Texas Time on Wednesday the 11th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR:4379 Votes AGAINST: 646

It sounds like our friends over in Yggdrasil are feeling a bit peckish. Allemeine II has gotten the ball rolling, but one little rattlesnake is not going to feed an entire region. So, come on Texas, let's do a little Rattlesnake Roundup so we can throw them a decent Texas-sized BBQ! How many can we count on you to contribute?

Hi guyz~ Gay here, we juzt wanted to remind you that our sugar jar just got refilled!

Anyways I'm not an official representative of our region but I do encourage people here to vote 'against' the 'Repeal "Condemn the Pacific"' act.
It is being proposed by a nation that itself is located in the Pacific with the only justification behind the proposal that the WA is cracking down on political diversity.
The World Assembly stands for virtue and justice, not the variety of fascist ideologies.

There is currently a new Security Council Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Repeal "Condemn the Pacific"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal Resolution: SC#177 Proposed by: DrWinner

Description: WA Security Council Resolution #177: Condemn the Pacific shall be struck out"...

<see page=sc for full text>

Oh Boy, yet another Repeal in the Security Council! When this one was implemented on April 28, 2015, Texans were pretty much for it by a vote of 6 for and 2 against and on the repeal attempt last week, Texans said down with The Pacific again by a vote of 0 for and 4 against. NewTexas, as a nation did not like The Pacific at the time because we disliked the role their New Pacific Order played in the coup of Lazarus. The NPO is bad. This one needs to stay. As a reminder, the issue here is the REPEAL of the existing law. A vote AGAINST this Resolution means you are in favor of the existing law and do not want it repealed. A vote FOR this Resolution means you want the law off the books. Sound like déjà vu? It is, again. NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was flat on the last SC vote -- Repeal "Condemn the Pacific" -- which was defeated after gaining only 34.35% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 4 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 0 FOR and 4 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were unanimous! Yay!

Thanks, but each individual constituent of the WA, including our delegate, and every other single member nation in Texas and outside of us, will vote how they see fit.

Plox don't censor that, it was polite and respectful

New zacharianasville, like you, our friends are free to post whatever they like on this RMB until they abuse the privilege. We appreciate our friend Luzt 's opinion as much as we appreciate yours. We feel fairly confident that that they understand that. It was brave of them to cross borders to express their opinion and we certainly do not want to give the impression that that type of activity is unwelcome. We are pretty sure they were just trying to be helpful along the same vein as our post.

Rattlesnake Roundup Update in NewTexas - we put on the Atomic Boots and went stomping around the ranch today and got 364 of them critters basking in the sun. Alas, most are pretty smushed - stupid Atomic Boots. We will be whipping up Rattlesnake Jalapeño Sausages with them. How did you do?

I managed to net 109.

I'm not sure I like BBQ snakes, unless they taste like chicken...

Picos elissa de los tres valles

That sounds like the cast to the new star trek movie that even IMDB can't seem to get their hands on the plot, cast or date.
Not to mention the trailer shows a soap opera collection of old star trek characters in weird moments.

With all due respect good sir, founder, and WA Delegate of the good people of Texas, I was just informing that particular individual of our bounties of freedom, and how we all have, and use it. He is certainly welcome to advertise his beliefs, but I was just reinforcing our status as a bastion of freedom where anyone can vote however they please. I am aware that this individual was not trying to force anyone to do anything without their permission, I was just giving him a friendly reminder of our bountiful freedoms here in the good region of Texas. Thank y'all, and God bless Texas!
