Me! Me! Me!

Broken anything sucks

That sounds awful. I hope you recover soon.:)

I am going to start writing my national history. Of those who said they wanted to take part in the colonization backstory, who wants to have arrived first- around 1600?

Broken ribs, OUCH. I winced reading that.

Why art thou ribs broken?

An excellent question indeed.

Why art thou ribs broken?

I second that. Out with it, man! Who has injured you, and where are they so that we may rip out their spine and beat them with it?

Also, Ariadna, you'll need this.

*Throws welcome basket loaded liberally with alcohol and assorted fruits and cheeses*

Now, that's enough from me.

*Runs back into the bushes, screaming like a lunatic*

Tripped during an FTEX (field training exercise) and landed on my rifle. lol nothing cool I'm afraid.

So that is how you broke your ribs, Wandy?

Strong effort. Very strong.

But not stronk enouf

He could have killed many girls, since God took a rib from Adam and fashioned Eve outta it.

Oh my God, was the weapon sight okay?!

I once spoke with a CF BMQ instructor who said his first lesson when they brought out the rifles after they did the safety stuff was always "Your rifle is designed to hurt and kill people. If you do something stupid on it in training it will do the same to you, even unloaded."

Inevitably someone would fall on their rifle, and the entire unit would be made to recite his much longer speech about it.

I had a colleague who, on his TSC Alpha course, managed to twat hmself on his foresight after falling into a ditch, and split his lip right through on the blade. And it all wouldn't have happened, had he not been patrolling with his rifle sling still clipped up...

Hey I finished the FTEX and did my job! This 0311 ain't no bitch. I'm just whining about it now since I'm safely back in my barracks haha ;)

Stevid wrote:Oh my God, was the weapon sight okay?!

Got conked by the port cover but the weapons undamaged. Worst part is that I just got Lance and looked like an idiot but nobody really said anything about it. A few guys nearby laughed a bit, helped me up and I was on my way. Thought I just had the wind knocked out of me and didn't have the corpsman look at it till the next day since it was still hurting a lot. I've broken ribs before and it didn't hurt as bad initially, not til the next day really.

Benefit of de facto fire team lead...when nobody else is around to see it, everyone's lower than you...can't say a word about it. lol

Meh, pain is just weakness leaving the body.

Lamoni and Wanderjar

I know right? My rugby coach in college had a very...interesting way of putting it though. He said 'Pain means the little bitch is being stamped out.' He was an Australian, former Wallabies player.
