You put effort into researching a cure, but there weren't nearly enough countries in our nation that did the same to help you out. As a result, the zombies infected your researchers since you didn't order your police to shoot them.

I have killed Wassup's remaining zombies, rendering the nation zombie free.

Oops! I didn't really expect anybody else to be very active here during Halloween, and was too busy fighting zombies elsewhere (in four other regions, two of which were saved...) to check here on the day. Sorry!

As I'm fairly sure I've mentioned here in the past, the most reliable method of contacting me quickly is through Bears Armed as that's currently my 'main' nation.

And unfortunately I couldn't have been much help here during that crisis, anyway, because time-zones & other RL factors meant that I couldn't get online until the plague had already been running for about 12 hours and by that time it would probably have been "too late" for my nations in this region.

However I've just given Kemelom access to the regional founder too, by TGing its password to them, for use in any future emergencies.

There is mistaken identity, and then there is really mistaken identity.
Okay, so I’m a bit overweight and the beard that I’ve grown over the last half-year or so (which isn’t particularly long, yet, but is rather bushy) has quite a bit of white in it, but even so…
A small child who saw me a few days ago looked up past the belly to the beard, turned to his mother, and in a hushed voice enquired
“Is that Santa Claus?”

Not sure whether I'll be able to get here tomorrow, and certain that I won't be able to do so on the day after that, so

"MERRY CHRISTMAS (or other Seasonal Greetings of your choice), EVERYBODY!"

With the introduction of the scientific advancement measurement, I'm happy to report that 25/28 nations in this region, at the time of this post, are above the world average (exceptions are GC Cable and Wireless (ironically), Mortz-land, and Delphinland). Great job, guys.

Greetings. We would have been third in 'Most Devout' nations in the region, which is somewhat saddening, but we are honored to be here nonetheless!

Good to have you here!

This region seems somewhat inactive. :(

I will now join a region founded by an acquaintance: a fellow Brother in Christ. Should Conservative Paradise require assistance in the future, I shall return!

So, does anybody else here have an opinion about the new option for setting your nation's demonym & its associated adjective?
I like it, this being a feature that I'd already been hoping for (and had been amongst the people asking for...) anyway, so while I was logging in to my various nations in this region today in order to keep them alive I went around and changed the settings for the [many] cases where the game's new coding didn't get it right in the first place.

I've set a demonym & adjective for the region's founder, too, but of course Kemelon can change those if they prefer different ones... or if the rest of you want change, and Kemelon's willing to go along with that.

Hello. I am a new member and interested in becoming our WA delegate. Please endorse me. Please!!!

I can assure you that I am quite Christian, and quite conservative.

Welcome! Wassail!

No endorsement possible from me, I'm afriad: My own WA seat is now permanently assigned to a nation in another region...

"Welcome" and "Wassail!", Toryland.
"Welcome" and "Wassail!", Fight or die.

Stay long and prosper...

;P

Whoa, wait a minute! What happened to the WA endorsements *I* used to get?

Nah, I'm just kidding. I'm far too busy to look at WA proposals on a regular basis nowadays anyway. Welcome to CP Elihow, and enjoy your new status!

Any "regional" plans for dealing with the zombie plague this halloween?

Thank you all very much! If you have any questions about what I will vote in the WA, please feel free to send me a telegraph.

My regional idea for the zombie infection is this: We should all research a cure, and if the zombies start to overwhelm us go for military extermination.

If I may offer my input, last year during the zombie infection, not enough members of CP were active enough for researching a cure to be a viable solution. If this year our nations continue to remain inactive, we unfortunately must resort to shooting our sick down.

That being said, we still need to close our regionals borders when the day comes so as to contain the disease as much as possible.

Yes, well, approximately 2/3 of the nations here are actually puppets of mine: Some have been resident since the region's glory days (when it peaked briefly at just over 100 nations in all*, most of them with individual players), the others moved in since then simply because I didn't have any other plans for them.
And as there is obviously a limit on how many nations I can actually use effectively during events like that, and as I couldn't get online until the plague was well underway and much damage already done, and as I honestly didn't expect much activity by anybody else here even for that event, I concentrated my efforts on my puppets in certain other regions where the chance of success looked higher instead.
However if people here are serious about trying to "save" the region from the zombies then this time around I'll try to play a part in that (although there will still be a limit on when I can get here...) and will probably move most of the puppets temporarily into a 'storage' region beforehand so that their inactivity doesn't provide a "breeding-ground" for zombies here. Okay?

As for researching the cure, I've been told that a nation's chance of managing this is related to its level of spending on healthcare... which means that my nations, at least, aren't very likely to succeed. However there would still be the 'cure missiles', and hopefully enough of us would have those available to do the job even without developing an outright cure...

(* That was the best total since I joined the region in August '05: whether it was ever larger before that, i couldn't say...)

Well, that's the "deadwood" tidied-away: Hopefully keeping the nations that are still here alive during 'Z-day' will now be rather easier...

(In case any of you are wondering: We've already had a sister-region called 'Conservative Paradise Reborn' before too. That version was originally created when a refounding of this region went wrong, and was then maintained in existence alongside it for a fair while until active membership fell off too far. That's why this region's WFE refers to us as being part of a 'Conservative Paradise Alliance', and why there are two stars in the flag.)

Hey y'all!

St edmundan antarctic

I've shifted WA membership back to this nation to oppose the 'Repeal "Suppress International Piracy"' proposal that's next in the GA's queue, because I actually wrote the resolution that it targets (although I let somebody else, who wanted to try their hand at getting a proposal to quorum before possibly drafting one of their own, submit it) and consider the repeal's "Think of the poor pirates" theme disgusting. I hope that if & when the repeal raeches the floor, if [the second stage of] my GHR against it is rejected, anybody else here who has a WA nation will also vote 'Against'.

"Wassail!" and "Welcome", Gubmint teat... despite your nation's current policies.
Stay long and prosper.

(OOC; Wonders whether that's a puppet belonging to somebody whom I already know...)

Hi all!
