Region: Wysteria

Sphermenia wrote:Wisteria (also spelled Wistaria or Wysteria) is a genus of flowering plants in the pea family, Fabaceae, that includes ten species of woody climbing vines native to the Eastern United States and to China, Korea, and Japan. Some species are popular ornamental plants, especially in China and Japan. An aquatic flowering plant with the common name wisteria or 'water wisteria' is in fact Hygrophila difformis, in the family Acanthaceae. Is this all Wysteria is?

Sometimes a synonym is just a synonym.

Wysteria isn’t based on a plant or even a song by Dan Fogelberg.

Twelve years ago, the founding members of this region were playing in a home-brew D&D campaign that took place in an in-game area called Wysteria. It was the main point of commonality between the founding members of the region so it was the logical choice for its name.

In short, it’s probably best for everyone that we weren’t all playing Leisure Suit Larry or Devil Bunny Needs a Ham, or this would be a very different place....
