Oh sorry. Chill! Chill! Forgive me. I didn't have time to read all of it and i thought you were trying to propagate a negative and pessimistic message. I was in a rush to review everything that is being presented here.

Anyway, i was not trying to say we must be self sufficient, it's just like what you said. So we both are in no position to throw stones at each other that we have misinterpreted each other. :p

We have the same idea. Which is good. However, by further lessening political contact with the US, it will propagate a symbolic act that we don't need the US anymore and we are finally no longer lackeys of imperialism, that act has a propaganda effect. But that can only be achieved after everything is set right, economics and politics in the domestic scope.
