Reporting on location at the Vatican.

An attempted liberation of Coalition of Catholic States saw an impressive showing of force from defenderdom – some thirty six defenders (or more) were spotted in attendance! With thirteen natives already endorsing the native delegate, Wagafraga, these defenders would rise his endorsement count to fifty endorsements against the invader’s formidable forty-four endorsements (largely consisting of UIAF, ERN and TBH troops). However, the final count, 43-44, left the defender forces short by two endorsements on the former native delegate, since delegates maintain their position in the event of “ties” in endorsements.

For some such a narrow defeat may have proved demoralising, but Benevolent Thomas, Commander of Fort Triumph Marshal Service (FTMS) was optimistic when The Rejected Times spoke with him earlier this evening.

“Command has done the best it’s ever done in #jump and it’s a shame it was so close,” says Benevolent Thomas, “Too many experienced defenders were absent from the attempt, but what can you do with a few hours notice?”

Unibot, Delegate of The Rejected Realms was equally positive.

“Oh it was great fun,” says Unibot with a smile. “It’s not every day you can just pull thirty-something soldiers and would-be soldiers out of thin air and direct them towards a good cause. I love doing that stuff. I wouldn’t count defenderdom out on this one by any means either – all bets are off when you show that you can rise up to an occasion with that kind of force. Defenderdom is more united and collaborative than we’ve ever seen before!”

The coalition of liberators included The United Defenders League (UDL), Ten-Thousand-Islands-Treaty-Organisation (TITO), Spiritus Defense Force (SDF), The Rejected Realms Army (RRA), Renegade Islands Alliance Special Forces (RIASF), Taijitu Militia, Fort Triumph Marshal Service (FTMS), The Founderless Regions Alliance’s Rangers (FRA), Lazarene Liberation Army (LLA), East Pacific Sovereign Army (EPSA), South Pacific Special Forces (SPSF) and Wintreath’s Hvitt Riddiral (WHR). The mission itself was largely organised by Dyr Nasad, Unibot and Benevolent Thomas.

The mission suggests that contemporary defenderdom might be operating in a more multilateral (or rather, pluralistic) fashion than invaderdom. A basic comparison shows a stark contrast between the compositions of the liberator and invader forces in terms of diversification.

The occupation of Coalition of Catholic States has run for three days now under the stewardship of Jakker (The Black Hawks).
