Region: League of Christian Nations

Amazing to see such a fantastic turnout!

Just thought I'd share a few thoughts regarding the Chemung compromise plan. If the Region does vote 'no' then I support the compromise however I want to make a few points:
-The Compromise brings us in line with most of the operational aspects of the CRCA such as opening Embassies etc. We are essentially agreeing to act as a member without actually being a member.
Here are a few problems with this that I can think of:
-We are not guaranteed the full rights of membership. For example, In Article 3B, member regions are only required to share security issues with Member Regions. Whilst some may remember to share thing with us, others will very easily forget as we wouldn't be a member, meaning that our security will be compromised relative to being a full member.
-Chemung's Plan relies on a new invigoration of our Ambassador Program. I do applaud this however a telegram I sent out about 1 month ago to see if anyone was interested in becoming an Ambassador garnered 0 responses. It is unlikely it can be established to the lengths which the plan relies on.
-We would have no influence or voting rights in the Agreement. We would have no say on its direction and no say in any changes that could be made.
-By Agreeing to increase the cooperation with other Regions, we are essentially doing exactly what the CRCA is meant for. Increasing cooperation among Christian Regions. The only difference in us deciding to observe the agreement and not become a member is that we gain the benefits from cooperation and what the CRCA stands for but we are robbing ourselves of voting rights. That's it. We're saying the cooperation thing is good and that we want to work with others however we are squashing our own voice which we could have to increase cooperation and help shape the agreement in the future.
-As a summary. Vote 'Yes' = Full benefits of Membership and Full voting rights and Full influence. Chemungs's Proposal = Most benefits as if we were a member. No voting rights, very limited influence in the agreement.
-So If we're going to do what the Agreement says anyway, why not join it and have equal membership with the other Members and make our voice heard in increasing Christian Cooperation. If it doesn't work out, we can always vote to leave the Agreement and follow Chemung's Proposal at that point.....
