My nation was born in the Pacific. Maybe if you nations can remember what region your nation was born in! (Unless you can tell your sink region if you were refounded)

I was born in North Pacific before being recruited by Mouse

The republic of extreme fairness wrote:My nation was born in the South Pacific... I don't remember taking part before I was recruited by Mouse, though.

I think I was born in the Pacific, but then I got banned. Thanks Moldavi.

But you're in the North Pacific, so you're probably wrong, as you only have 102 M people, which means you only been here for few days!

I was in the Pacific for 15 days, ish, and I've been in TNP for about 13 days. I was banned fairly quickly.

OK then! Why were you banned quickly though?

FWA: News from the Association

by Elizabeth ii windsor

Factbook Writers Association Official Newspaper

Hello people,
in this article we are going to report you a lot of news from the "Factbook Writers Association" (FWA). As you can see by yourselves, our Association is growing and improving day by day and we hope to offer, with time, more useful services and activities for our members.

FWA opens to the world

Since the beginning, it has always been very simple to become a member of FWA. It is just required, to who is interested, to fill a very simple form, that we use as a sort of official register, and then you are ready to start interacting around FWA. If you lost our article about that, you can check it Here.

With our new Statute, ratified some days ago, now FWA has decided to open its doors also to nations outside Europeia. Our Chart, in fact, says:

"Anyone with the Europeian citizenship and with an account on Europeia's forum is free to apply to become member of this group. It is also accepted the participation to our activities of Ambassadors and people with a cultural visa"

But what is a Cultural Visa?
At the moment, Europeia has not a clear policy about it but, looking to previous events, it is a sort of diplomatic status that allows to people from other regions to take part to cultural activities and festivals.
And we consider ourselves as a cultural organization.
So you are from outside Europeia but you are interested in taking part to FWA's activities?
Write me back a pm, and I'll describe you how obtaining a cultural visa!

FWA map

It is one of the first questions of every new player: has Europeia its own regional map?
Once again....no, we haven't.

Trying to answer to the needs of the people, FWA has started a new project.
Basically, defining a map and defining national neighbours is one of the first things faced by factbook writers. It helps you defining your spaces and also your history. Probably nations, during the ages, use to have more contact with countries with which they share at least a border than with nations far kilometres and kilometres.
So our main idea has been to create a map with all FWA nations, that could also help us in future roleplays.
One of our graphics is already working on it and we hope to present it to you soon.

1st FWA Chairman/woman elections

July is approaching and, as stated in our Statute, this is the time to renew our board, in order to improve the participation of the people, ideas' turnover and to refill energy.
Right today, on our subforum, it has been opened a thread to present the candidatures to become our 1st FWA Chairman/woman. Every nation member of our association from at least a week can present its candidacy and its platform, in order to allow voters to choose the best option.
From 1st July votations will be held.
It is useful to remember that, once elected, the Chairman/woman has the right to choose the new "Editor in chief" and the new "Recruiter" of FWA between the interested people (that can apply in the same forum thread).

FWA Logo Contest

Times have lengthened a bit, but FWA is now ready to deal with choosing its own official logo. During the last days, we had a total of 5 participants, 5 for the logo category and only 1 for newspaper banner's category.
Here you can see the creations that are running in the contest:

Logo #1

Logo #2 (the first half) and Newspaper Banner (if looking at it completely)

Logo #3

Logo #4

Logo #5

From tomorrow, on our subforum, votations will be open to finally choose our new logo.

FWA Factbooks guides
One other important activiy started in the last days is about guides writing.
For a new player could be difficult writing by himself a complete factbook and, in this view, FWA is trying to meet the needs of people.
Why? It could be very hard write something about categories that people know little. It is for me too: writing about "military things" seems very difficult for a girl :P ...
So some of our members have started writing specific guides (ex. Geography, developing a good map, Military, Diplomacy etc.) for players interested to this aspect of the game.
We will publish them from the next week, without keeping them for FWA members only but sharing them with the world.
Again, we are always looking for new "tutors": if you are interested in helping us writing new guides, just send me a telegram and we will find a solution!

FWA Upvote team
Factbook writing can be really frustrating some times...why? Because you write good things, put a lot of efforts in them and then only few people read your creations.
Nationstates has a strange way to manage dispatches: if you click on "dispatches" on the left menu, it will primary show to you only articles with most votes.

Votes? That's right! Many people even don't know that articles can be "helped" by voting them! Upvote is a very simple but immensely useful feature and FWA is going to use it.

We are organizing an upvote team, reserved to FWA members, to help our factbooks being promoted.
If you are interested to become part of the team (and give more visibility to your factbooks) you only have to be member of FWA and send me a telegram.
Visibility is just a click away!

Soon an official Newspaper
As said more times, FWA is growing (Oh...happiness :D ) and is expanding its activities. So it has been decided to open an official newspaper, in order to keep all articles in one place without mixing them with our national factbooks. It will be under the responsability of the Editor in Chief and will be the only official information source of FWA.
Its publications will start very soon and we hope for a lot of subscriptions. We will let you know the details in few days.

For doing things allowed, if narrowly, by the law in the NPO. NEVER try to edge near breaking the law, even if you are not technically breaking it and you shouldn't be banned by the civil code, you'll still get banned.

The imperial state of dragovar

Dear Europeia,

I take up my pen today to ask you all about State-Owned Industries. As I was checking the pie charts and graphs related to my country, I noticed that suddenly out of nowhere 3.2% of my economy comes from state owned industries. As a very pro-capitalist nation, this is something I cannot tolerate. Is there a way to see what issue I dealt with that led to this development? Are there any suggestions on what I could do in my future issues to get rid of state-owned businesses?

Basically the government taking over industries, taking away from corporations. Basically take the options that pick private industry over government intervention.
