The Republic of Ziptron is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Zelleman Ziptronista with an even hand, and notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate population of 8.379 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of City of Words. The average income tax rate is 88%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Citizens applying for their first jobs face fierce competition from the homeless, illegal hunting is rife after veganism was recently made compulsory, the government has cut its subsidies for all special interest groups, and an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents. Crime is totally unknown. Ziptron's national animal is the house cat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the beck.

Ziptron is ranked 35th in NationStates and 5,692nd in the world for Most Income Equality, scoring 185 on the Marx-Engels Emancipation Scale.
