The Utopian Kingdom of Sileetris is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 20.429 billion are proud of their wide-ranging civil freedoms, and those who aren't tend to be dragged off the streets by men in dark suits and hustled into cars with tinted windows.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Education and Social Equality are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 97%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Book Publishing.

Elevator music has been replaced by thrash metal played at maximum volume, a government program is underway to revitalize Sileetris's beaches, programmes of questionable content are shown at peak-hours, and murderers frequently escape punishment by claiming they were protecting their honour. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Sileetris's national animal is the Not-Dead Parrot, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Relic Standard Piece.

Sileetris is ranked 3rd in Relic and 72,457th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -15 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
