The Evergreen Domain of Morekai is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Mordain with an iron fist, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 16.195 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt individuals is mainly concerned with the Environment, although Healthcare and Education are on the agenda. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.

City sidewalks are crowded with overweight people, jails have become colloquially known as 'vampire houses', Pinkerton agents are called in to forcibly break up white collar strikes, and organ donation is compulsory. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Morekai's national animal is the Wolf, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Bud.

Morekai is ranked 53rd in England and 100,720th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -49 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
