The United Republic of Itsaria is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Dakota Richards with a fair hand, and renowned for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 4.234 billion live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Itsariana. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Information Technology and Soda Sales.

Cyber-crime and tin-foil hat sales are both increasing at record rates, roads are often attended by round-the-clock construction crews, citizens must pay to enjoy Itsaria's pristine beaches, and discarded pennies litter the streets. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is moderate. Itsaria's national animal is the Bearded Dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Jade.

Itsaria is ranked 1st in Themis and 12,252nd in the world for Highest Drug Use, scoring 94 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
