Is that the sound of an excruciatingly late Office of Recruitment Monthly Report? Yes!

.
W E L C O M E . B A C K

Hello!

It has been a while... apologies for that! Stress outside of NationStates mixed with an identity crisis over the office of recruitment has kept me away from monthly reports. After a Government meeting today, I thought it best to kickstart the process of renewal for the office, something which has been a long time coming. In the spirit of this, I present a much cleaner format than before! Bearing in mind that there are still changes to be made, some of what you see now may not appear in the next report, but this is what I have so far.

These reports serve for both old and new nations, so some links on here may be known to you but unknown to new nations.

My most important addition to the updates is the 'New Recruits' section, as thought of by Vancouvia. This section gives you an insight into the new nations on the map, with both their introductory RMB post and overview dispatch linked in the table below. I hope that you all take a glance at it when I update it as it is vital for the continuity of the region that we all take an interest in new nations. As for new nations, I hope that you do not feel that this is a bad spotlight, I feel that bringing you guys into the limelight gives some much needed clarity on who is both new and active enough to start the process of combining histories and writing RPs.

In terms of numbers, we are on a low. Recruitment drives are good and those who are recruiting are yielding good results, the issue is due to either CTEs or nations moving away. With these new initiatives and new nations in Government, I hope to see better numbers in the region. I shall ensure to stick to a schedule of recruitment telegram sending, rather than being sporadic as I have been in the last few weeks.

You might ask yourself, 'what can I do?' Well, there are several options. Firstly, I would recommend liking and responding to new nations who post. Most of us do that very well and there is a good culture of welcoming people here, but I sometimes notice, (and I am guilty of this myself) RMB posts by new nations that have been perhaps overlooked. Even if the message is just 'hey' or 'hello there guys', please like the post and/or try to engage on some level with the new nation if you notice that no one else has quoted the welcome dispatch to them. Bookmark this link somewhere so that you can easily copy and paste it to the RMB: Welcome Dispatch.

Secondly, look out for roleplay threads or dispatches set up by Belle ilse en terre and other officers such as the nation-building prompts, as if more people take part in them, the more new nations will be inclined to join as well.

Finally, you can help directly with recruitment. You can donate as explained in the Office of Recruitment home dispatch, or you can use the other methods explained there. I am currently thinking of getting more people involved in sending recruitment telegrams, but I'll need some time on that, so if you are interested - watch this space!

Below is a list of new nations that have successfully been put on the map and have shown a satisfactory amount of activity to be put on this list. In an effort to allow for better integration, this list provides you with some information about these new nations that you may have missed after skipping hundreds of new RMB pages to catch up.

It really does help if you could take some time to read through these overview factbooks and introductory posts to find out more about your new neighbours. If you are looking for a new ally, friend, enemy, or a new vassal for your oil empire then look no further!

WARNING: This list is in an early development stage and it serves also as a catch-up after the months of these reports not being published, those on here may have been here for up to two months.

If you are new or old, it is sometimes hard to keep up with everything. Luckily, the nations of TWI love their dispatches, so here is a list of resources to ensure you are not kept out of the loop!

Some important info inside and a much better format. If you could take a moment to read through it then you'd make a wee Noronica very happy.

I have to say, this was the most fun post I've written in NS in a very long time. So many things under the surface as the President contends with the sudden changes in the situation in the north, all the while fighting with the old guard in the nation over how to approach this very testing period in Dormill-Stiuraian history. Will he be able to win over Arván without abandoning his morals? Will Ambassador Van Buggenum be able to win himself glory for leading the negotiations for the partition, shielding him from whatever scandals might come from his relationship with his secretary? Keep an eye on this one, because it's going to be one hell of a ride.

If I don't read how at least one of your characters in Patria Delenda Est screams at the top of their lungs and nearly busting a blood vessel while trying to go Super Saiyan, I will be thoroughly disappointing in you Dormill and Stiura.

And before you give me an excuse, its not like you can't create some random adult or child to do it, while the president is attending a rally to raise support for the incorporation of Arván.

Just wait for when things really heat up, somebody's going to certainly have an aneurysm before this is over :P

Going to leave this here since I feel like I've been playing a bit fast and loose with some of the rules.

Btw Athara magarat and Oturia, I was quite serious about getting my friends to help me in actually making the mod. And know I am too lazy to collect all the lore needed for the mod myself, so whenever we can we should set aside some time to expand on that factbook.

Athara magarat

Hi there. I feel like I have some explaining to do... regarding my recent drop in activity, sporadic posting, and resignation from office. I've been involved in some RPs lately and I'm really starting to feel I've been letting people down and harming their RP efforts (Thuzbekistan, Menna shuli, Noronica).

I've been preoccupied with issues involving my work, a new apartment, and some other stuff. I'm fine, but I have a lot on my mind. This resulted in me feeling a bit down lately, which didn't help with my long-time chronic depression, of course. I think I can already see the end of this phase, though, so at least there's that.

To make things clear - I don't plan on leaving NS anytime soon. I intend to return to my normal activity levels - it'll just be gradual and take some more time. Thank you for understanding.

Wouldn't I be a(n), somewhat, exception to your reasoning? I'm not exactly apart of Gael, given that I am positioned between the Torangese and Kavju Seas, but have been shaped by it.

if you feel your nation is involved and influenced by Gaels events react to it how you see fit. It only seems logical with the proxmity to Roendavar.

Samudera and Negarakita aren't strictly Gael either. What reasoning do you mean?

I was going based of the official regional map. On there I am listed under the Kavju region, which makes sense but still just had to make sure.

Let’s be real here, the sub-regions on the map dispatch are not entirely accurate to how IC geo-politics work.
