Amadeo had been in the lounge, speaking to a few other Confederate visitors who were popular figureheads who had fled during the war, and they spoke about the war and the situation leading up to it. The politicians had stood firmly against Amadeo, but upon finding him in the Left-wing haven of SR, they realized he wasn’t all the media made him out to be. They all apologized to one another, and found that they all had more in common than they originally had thought. As the conversation died down, the girl Amadeo had met was walking towards the large, fancy doors that led outside.
“Excuse me” Amadeo said, trying to catch her attention, with success
“You were seriously gonna leave without saying ‘goodbye’?”
Laughing, she walked up to him and threw her arms around him, the two of them now hugging in the lobby. While still hugging, she asked
“I have a better idea than saying ‘goodbye’.” She said, breaking the embrace as she slid her one of her hands into his
“And that is?” He asked, a sly grin on his face
“There is a symphony playing in town tonight. Would you like to go?”
“Absolutely! I’d love to.” He replied, immediately happier now that he’d be spending the evening with his newfound friend.

The two of them went, and afterwards they stopped at a pub to have a couple of drinks. They went on many dates like this, to the symphony or to the theatre, and to the park and to various restaurants across town.
