Across all of Fishy Apples, a collective, "What in tarnation?!" was let out when the results were announced, meanwhile Queen Jackie sat in the arena, wholly dumbfounded, sure she had the event in the bag. Back in Aclion, Mer-Apples and Anacinins, who were only hours earlier in an intense feud over whose athletes would win the weightlifting event, are now consoling each other after both nations got surprisingly skunked.
Meanwhile, Fishy Apples and their queen must congratulate our fellow region mate Windiria in getting the first ever Summer Games medal for The Bunny Fire, as well as their first ever national medal in the Oatland Games, though we are left wondering just how many Wheaties you feeding your athletes, STUUURM? :3
The Onigiri Enclave and Aclion
Windiria doesn't feed our athletes, with Wheaties or otherwise. Athleticism is outlawed, though as with any civilized nation our officials are above the law. We are very proud of our Mr. Fitzwallace and his cardboard cutout for the initiative they've taken in being our only two athletes; particularly their usage of their position of influence to do what would otherwise be illegal.
We are, however, disappointed in their failure to get any more gold medals in previous events. They will be strictly disciplined upon return to the glorious motherland.
Kinda funny, though, could've sword the cardboard cutout was only entered into Diving. Could just be my poor memory. And it doesn't seem to save sent telegrams, so I can't check without asking Aclion.

Again, what happened?! How are those three that strong?! How many push ups did they do? How many squats? WHAT KIND OF ENDORSEMENT DEALS DID THEY GET?! ...Seriously, I'd like to know. I mean, I'm in the hole Ƭ50,000,000 to my Secretary of Defense and I got to make some quick money or she's going to break my legs... again."

Fishy Apples is proud to finally medal in these games, and to do so in something not many Mer-Apples get a chance to participate in given the generally inhospitable climate and/or terrain of our nation for horses and owning a horse. On that note, our own Ms. Religieuse will accept her bronze medal with pride... from what seems to be a somewhat inebriated announcer, what with their slurred words and run-on sentences.
Up next is swimming, and we're pretty certain Fishy Apples will dominate the competition, because to be honest... *points to the flag of Fishy Apples, which depicts the queen on it, then to the ACTUAL queen, still in shock from losing the weightlifting competition, and finally to a random mermaid citizen from Fishy Apples that flew in to Aclion to watch the games live, a citizen that makes up 58% of Fishy Apples general citizenry* ...if we don't win at least one medal then that means we've CLEARLY been doing it wrong for the last several dozen millenia and should question the very nature of everything. That, or call shenanigans. :3
Finally, out of curiosity, looking back, the two events Aclion and Earthbound immortal squad have medalled in have been won by the same two athletes, Marc Gérald & Amy Sheppard, and in such disparate events too. Just how many events did those two particular athletes sign up for?

...Still, just how badass were those two to best our queen? The cardboard cutout we get (classic Windiria and their secret projects), but these two confound our people. Are they some kind of superhumans? Secret government cyborgs? Did our queen just throw her back out showing off in that interview the day before lifting that news van and simply not tell anyone? *gasp* ...Is Marc Gérald really the masked crime fighter Dogman? Which would make Amy his sidekick Lady Raccoon? Hmmm, yeah, that last explanation definitely makes the most sense. :3
