I've heard about that one.

It's years ago that I read the book. I remember loving it. I hope the TV does it justice. I'm thinking that the angel and the demon should be okay, although they're not as I picture them. I think my problem will be with the boy, Adam. He always came across as being a rewrite of Richmal Crompton's Just William. I'll struggle if the character doesn't live up (or maybe that should read 'live down') to my expectations.
I grew up reading Just William (I had a gazillion of the books in varying stages of second-hand decay). My dad read them as a kid too, as did his dad before him. And reading Good Omens, you knew that at least one of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman had that same deep relationship with William as we did. Even though Adam is meant to be an independent character, I've a horrible feeling that he'll be the sticking point for me.

I've been meaning to read more literature, I used to read quite a bit when I was younger but in later years I had to do English essays to any book I read so I lost interest, it just ruins the story when you pick apart every use of a language technique.
