The Serene Cay Island
The beautiful island of 50,000 was a popular tourist destination, but lately it had invited a number of investigative reporters, and trade union activists. Reportively, the reporters had looked into crime and corruption in a number of regimes around the world; while the trade unionists had tried to organize fruit laborers, factory workers, and even reportively slaves.
The island's defense force of five motor companies was patrolling in Jeep Cherokees and Western Star (Fiat) vehicles. Equipped with M16A2s, and Kevlar body armor for their heads and torsos; the brave men and women were adorned in blue uniforms.

Concerning news out of New Hammadi today. The modernist preacher Yonatan bin Yonatan, who previously made news for his calls to reform the Hammadi religion, now claims to have cured a congregant of pneumonia.
The local representative of the national priesthood, until now silent about bin Yonatan's "stunts", warned Hammadians to be wary of those claiming supernatural abilities. "We must not lose our senses. The claims of supposed miracle workers must be examined by the Inquisitory Board of the Holy Priesthood, and this congregant who was allegedly cured hasn't revealed herself to us for study."
Nevertheless, bin Yonatan's congregation, the School of the Holy Presence, has grown substantially since he took over as minister one year ago. It seems that his popularity and opposition to officially sanctioned theology is sure to soon reach a tipping point.
