Statement concerning the unfolding situation in Ambristan
All State Parties of the International Cooperation Council hereby express their common concern and shock at the quickly deteriorating situation which is currently in development in Ambristan.
We are concerned about the lives of the Ambristanian people, and how the irresponsible actions of certain sectors of the political elites have plunged the country into disarray, disturbing the normal lives of innocent citizens, while potentially placing thousands into harm's way.
We are shocked by the negligence of the Ambristanian Government, which had failed to provide basic security needs and stability for their population. Armed gangs, trained by foreign agents and fueled with illicit drug funds have attacked the heart of the Ambristanian institutions. However, corruption and collusion between the aforementioned destabilizing capitalist groups and the regime continues to thrive, while a "scapegoat" has been found among Communist and Socialist sympathizers, the only ones that who have always truly cared about the wellbeing of their compatriots. The ones that have now payed with their lives for pursuing a noble cause.
Furthermore, the Assembly of the International Cooperation Council has unanimously decided in an extraordinary session, to expel Ambristan from the framework of the Treaty of the International Cooperation Council for breaching Articles 3 and 7.
Finally, all State Parties belonging to the International Cooperation Council call on all actors involved in the crisis to refrain from the use of violence, and offer to mediate in hopes of finding a rapid, peaceful conclusion that will benefit the entirety of Ambristan.

Alert level rises in Amazone Province, Panic-Buying, military buildup and Refugees in Goed Uitzicht
The Provicinal Government of Amazone Province has declared a state of emergency as a result of the deteriorating situation in Ambristan.
The State of Emergency, signed in as Emergency Act No. 85 by Governor Dan Baneman, has expanded resources for emergency services and municipal law enforcement to maintain order and stability across the region, providing law enforcement with expanded powers and authorities to ensure that the current state of the province will not be susceptible to a potential spillover of fighting, with the worse case that it spirals out of control. Furthermore the State of Emergency also calls upon the Rijken Military, already having a presence of 60,000 troops across the region, to assist the Provicinal and Municipal governments of the Rijken Amazon at this time. This will not only give the Province an effective means of deterring any spillover of fighting from Ambristan but also a means to further crack down on cartels and other illegal organizations that are becoming incredibly aggressive after the order in Ambristan had broken down.
Residents in the capital city of Amazonstad (Manaus) have lined up in long queues at many stores undergoing rapid panic-buying; from emptying grocery shelves at the Albert Heijn Hypermarket to emptying the arsenals and bullet caches of most gun stores in the area. Almost half of the panic-buying in the region is seen in gun stores, where locals and people across the region are arming themselves to-the-teeth in the case a sporadic spillover of fighting descends upon the area.

In the streets of Goed Uitzicht today were scenes of military troops conducting regular patrols and attack helicopters flying from above. Many of the personnel here have been stationed to maintain a state of vigilance against any spillover of fighting, according to the Public Affairs Office of the Amazonstad Military Region. Troops patrolling the border with Ambristan were also seen in the Amazonian bush by locals today, with pictures of camoflagued scouts making rounds around Rijken social media.
Just 50 miles north of Goed Uitzicht, a completely different story: the small border town of Pacaraima is now the scene of an immense crowd of refugees stretching 15 miles north of the border checkpoint. Hundreds of military troops on the Rijken side, armed to the teeth, are currently processing the thousands of people seeking refuge from the blooded conflict in the North. So far, over 800 have been taken in since the Foreign Office has begun ordering the processing of refugees. In light of recent international developments coming to light concerning the situation in Ambristan, Secretary of the Foreign Office Johann Cortez has informed press in Koningspoort, affirming the media about the Rijken Government's firm position concerning Ambristan.
"The Rijken Government has been directed to begin providing humanitarian assistance to the non-combatant sides of the civil war in Ambristan, in which outstanding non-profit organizations such as the Rijken Red Cross and the Rijken Doctors without Borders will be involving themselves in the salvation of non-combatant Ambristanians through providing wartime medical care, assistance in evacuation, and in conjunction with the Foreign Office, the prospect of seeking refuge and asylum in Rijkenland. The Rijken Government calls upon the International Community to assist in humanitarian efforts and that of diplomacy to resolve the conflict with the least amount of blood spilled by either side. Let it also be known that we will also be watching the situation in the country very carefully for any instances of foreign actors looking to harm and further destabilize the region, much like what we've seen in Donau-bundesreich, the CAF and Northern Germany. The Intelligence Community, spearheaded by the efforts of the SVB (State Security Bureau), will be vigilant and one-step ahead in this regard."
The conflict in Ambristan poses an unpredictable future for the people of Amazone province, who have seen bloodshed and civil strife themselves over 40 years ago during the brutal campaigns of General Vlaarkamp against the narcos of the past. From the citizenry to the military, everybody seems to be all in it together to keep the Amazone from devolving into wanton chaos once again.
Horror at raided compound in Sri Lanka!
The nation has been rocked by a recent event happening in Sri Lanka. A compound outside the town of Nilaveli was raided by State police and the Dregan paramilitary group. What they found completely shocked them. It was believed that the compound was used to store drugs however people were found locked in a basement chained to each others. It was clear they were used for human trafficking. It is reported that all residents of the compound were armed and all died in the raid.

Intelligence was captured in the raid, Compound belonged to the Golden Sun group. They are trying to stir trouble in Sri Lanka and their numbers and organisation are higher than usual. I request the Dregan paramilitary group be given authority to conduct operations in the region under my command before this blows over and civil war erupts in Sri Lanka. The Golden Sun also have cause to believe that a Muslim militia is also forming in Sri lanka calling themselves The Islamic Alliance. This favours their goals of instability in the region.

Who are the Dregan?
The Dregan are a paramilitary unit that operates in Vicintia. If the Vicintian Legion are the sword of Vicintia then The Dregan are the bloody dagger in Vicintia's boot. Their founder the well known Indian Totalist revolutionary Acarya Tipanis was an ardent believer in total war who believed in victory at any cost. During the revolutionary war he refused the peace in 1926 and fought on to bring Syndicalism to every part of India. His forces however eventually got pushed back and it was the intervention of the United Communes of Vicintia that saved it from total destruction. Incorporated into the nation it was reformed into a force of fanatics that existed to ensure socialism was protected from enemies both conventional and unconventional. Many members would volunteer to aid other nations in their Socialist revolutions and their tactics mirrored their founders views. Casualties meant nothing if victory was gained and many allegations of war crimes were hurled at them. None have ever been proven.
The civil war of 1987 against the Golden Sun revolutionaries saw the heaviest fighting the Dregans had seen in decades. Their unit was crucial in conducting guerrilla tactics behind enemy lines, sowing confusion, assassinating vital targets and using terror to demoralise enemies. After the Golden Sun was defeated the Dregans continued to hunt and harass them to this day. With the Golden Sun slowly resurfacing in Sri Lanka the violence will only get worse.
Zarina Mina, a well known foreign born member of the Dregans has volunteered to serve as an officer for the Communist forces. Her expertise in guerrilla warfare will greatly help the cause. Other volunteers have also expressed a desire to help in the revolution and will serve under Zarina Mina if accepted.

Today, the Council of Scientific and Technological Development of the International Cooperation Council announces the beginning of a joint international space program, funded by all its member states with the main purpose of strengthening scientific development and cooperation not only on Earth, but in above between the stars as well.
As a first measure, a suitable terrain has been chosen for the construction of a spaceport. Near the equator, the Vladimir I. Lenin Space Center will be located 38 km northwest of Puerto Iradier, Bata Region, Furstia. Construction tasks will begin next week and are expected to conclude in 4 years (208 days).
The Committee of Scientific and Technological Development (COSTDEV) of the International Cooperation Council will engage in a space program aimed at jointly developing the capabilities of all member states for future performance in unmanned and manned missions.
All member states shall provide whatever amount of funding they will be able to for the conclusion and future maintenance of the Intercosmos program, while still enjoying access to all aspects of the joint project.

Four Harpoon ASM's from both fighter aircraft would be fired, travelling very fast above the water towards the unsuspecting carriers of the Ambristani Navy. Soon after they were fired, both F-15's immediately turned on afterburner and begun vectoring away, going full-speed to Panama where they will regroup with the other half of the squadron.
Each carrier would be targeted with two ASM's each: one going right into the command centre of the Carrier and the second onto the port or starboard side of the carrier, just under the flight deck and high above the water line. In this way, the carriers would not be sunk but have their combat and deployment abilities crippled beyond immediate repair, effectively leaving them dead in the water without any way of fighting back.
Then, at 0300 hours, all four simultaneously strike the two carriers out of the blue, hitting the targeted spots with incredible accuracy, giving the Communist crews a very abrupt and fiery wake-up call.

Title: Rijkenlandd-Soviet Summit
Koningspoort — Both leaders continued discussing matters of common interest. After a lengthy discussion, the heads of state came to a comprehensive agreement that will significantly expand Rijken-Soviet relations. First of all, Rijkenlandd and the Soviet Union will provide humanitarian aid to non-combatants in Ambristan. The Soviet aid will focus on the construction of homes for displaced people, the delivery of food and medical supplies and the facilitation of refugee movement. Second, both sides agreed that the situation in Ambristan cannot be exacerbated by foreign military involvement and as such will refrain from participating militarily in that country. Third, both countries have agreed to the following trade deal lowering tariffs to 1.5% on both sides on the following sectors:

Additionally, the Rijkenlandd delegation agreed that 35% of crude oil exports will be sold to the Soviet Union at Brent prices. Secretly, both sides have agreed that the Acre Cartel and other Rijkenlandd cartels will not operate in the Soviet Union and will refrain from shipping any drugs or illicit substances to Soviet markets.
Finally, both leaders also agreed to reduce barriers to make it easier to do business for companies from both nations. In the Soviet Union, this will apply to Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and in other regions of the country through minority joint partnerships with Soviet companies. A visa-free program will exist for citizens of both nations to encourage tourism and travel. The delegations expect the trade deal to be worth USD$250 billion a year, with the potential for higher growth over time.
With this meeting, it marks the beginning of the so-called "Jersey Diplomacy" as many have taken it to calling after both leaders exchanged football jerseys to mark the beginning of a strong friendship.

The Maurristad crowd, traveling hours by bike, bus, car, train and plane by hordes to support their boys, responded to the fierce plays by Melbourne City FC through endless cheering, chanting and party-chanting. Lord Emperor Shimamoto has decided to dedicate an area of land in Tokyo to the Board of Militaristic History of Japan. This land is to be used to build a museum that details the near complete history of the Japanese military. Under Director Ugumori Yoshinaka, the museum will cover from the earliest records to modern times.
Many people in Japan have noticed that they are not able to access a number of websites throughout the week. Many are unsure as to why this has happened. The Minister of Communications, Oe Kama, has stated that their is nothing to be alarmed about and that the websites are most likely down due to servers being down for that website, or the usage has been discontinued by the original publishers.
Princess Akiiyo was the victor between her and her brother. Princess Akiiyo has now been deemed the heir to the throne of Japan. A ceremony will be held in her honor. The ceremony will celebrate her in her victory. Once she rises to power, she will have an official corination.

'Oil Summit' begins in Dubai
The International Oil Summit, officially titled the "2020 Dubai World Energy Conference" has begun in Dubai, Saudiarabia. The Kingdom's Energy minister, His Excellency Dr. Suhail Al-Noami is personally hosting this international summit which will see the energy, petroleum, and oil ministers of some dozen countries meet for the first time in a formal setting focused solely on petroleum production and exportation.
The summit came after several months of Saudi re-alignment of oil production to curb the three year oil glut that has occurred since 2017. With the United States 
Imperial Eagle achieving energy independence, the market has been unable to realign naturally.
Energy Minister Dr. Al-Noami stated the Kingdom will do "whatever necessary" to rebalance a crude market depressed by an uncertain global outlook. Al-Noami warned however that additional output cuts may not be the best way to boost sagging prices.
Deeper production cuts are "not a decision that we take easily," the minister said ahead of the four-day World Energy Conference. Al-Noami told a press conference that oil producers were affected by "other concerns" apart from supply and demand. "Anything that the Kingdom sees that will balance the market, we are committed to discuss it and hopefully go and do whatever necessary," he said.
European benchmark Brent was selling at $51.54 per barrel on Friday, down from more than $75 this time last year. The Kingdom, the largest oil producer in the world, has resorted to massive production cuts to lift prices since the oil market crash in mid-2014. In June, the Ministry of Energy extended by nine months an earlier reduction of 1.2 million barrels per day, but the move has failed to arrest the price decline in light of a faltering global economy. Al-Noami noted that the usual levers to control prices seemed to be having little effect. The oil market is being affected by factors beyond "supply and demand, which is the primary thing that we can control," he said.
The Kingdom today accounts for the largest oil reserves on earth, estimated at 588 billion barrels and 39% of the world's petroleum, and as a result has a massive sway in the global oil market. Dr. Al-Noami ensured that the Kingdom's primary goal was to keep oil markets stable, regardless of political instability across the region or world, and the government's official stance to work with other major oil producers across the globe to reach this goal.
Deputy Energy Minister Ibrahim Al-Fahad has been at Dubai International Airport to welcome energy minister and oil executives from across the world, as the WEC kicks off. Media that is prohibited is speaking against any minister, any part of the executive government, any royal family member, or the Lord Emperor himself. The severity of media dictates the severity of the punishment. Foreign tourists are NOT immune to this law.

The Danzigreich government would like to wish a happy May Day to all its citizens and to the workers who helped build the Republic into the highly developed and wealthy country that it is. This cabinet hopes that continued development around the world can deliver higher standards of living for the world's working class and freedom from autocracy and dictatorship. Nationalism, democracy and livelihood are the principles upon which strong and fair states are formed.
