elections at Argarzia
Elections are started today, an electoral reform the political parties will pass to 6 from 11, the Liberty Party is in benefit, meanwhile the revolutionary party is last in the standings. A lot of people are protesting and the hard political situation due to the national instability are causing problems.

The first term has passed, my friends. First of all, many thanks to the current RP Councilors for the amazing work they have done, I appreciate the commitment and helpfulness y'all have shown over the last 3 months!
But now it is yet again time for giving everyone else the chance of being a Councilor.
For those not familiar with RP Councilors: A Councilor's job will be to assist the Director of Roleplay in setting and overseeing the rules of Roleplay, guiding and helping new and old players, on Discord and the RMB.

Missile Strikes over Plagyorasia
Reports of missile strikes over Plagyorasia have been confirmed by the Bakyernian military following a number of preemptive strikes today's morning.
Earlier today, multiple preemptive strikes against Plagyorasia were launched from navy warships off the coast in an attempt to disorganize and disorientate the Plagyorasian state's military and its capabilities. Some of the confirmed locations that were bombed during the attack were mainly strategic military targets such as defenses, logistical infrastructure, and transportation.
The Defense Force has made it clear that no civilian infrastructure was targeted and it is expected that all casualties sustained were military on the Plagyorasian side. The preemptive strikes has already brought some confusion among the public to why Bakyern is striking preemptively at an enemy when a war hasn't even begun, however some are saying that a war is already starting as reports of preparation among Shadoveilian and Bakyernian armies already taking place along the Plagyorasian-Shadoveilian border, hinting to a war that will occur in the extremely near future.
Attempted Cathedral bomber arrested
A man has been arrested and charged over his alleged role in a terror plot to bomb Bainbridge's Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin.
The man - who has not been named - was originally arrested in September 2019 for attempting to spark a republican revolt in Gratiot, but escaped from prison during his trial.
At his arraignment, the man admitted he had planned to blow himself up inside the building.
It is alleged that the man, a Muslim convert, was going to target the cathedral, and that he said it was a good plan.
Prosecutors say he also gave advice and shared extremist propaganda with 'like-minded republicans.'
The man has also been charged for his escape from prison in 2019, and is also accused of participating in the Republican Insurrection of 2014.
If found guilty of any of these charges, he faces a likely death penalty.
My Campaign for RP Councillor.
Some info about me and NationStates: I found NationStates in mid-October whilst searching for things to do that involve worldbuolding and RP (specifically Country WB and RP), and I found NationStates. It took a little bit of jumping between regions but I eventually joined Anteria, and I decided to stay, as it was exactly what I was looking for.
Info on my Country: My first iteration of my country was the Kistolian Kingdom, formed in 1142, it was a fairly peaceful kingdom not getting into many wars throughout it’s lifetime. It’s family name were The Jemitros, and they believed in fairly liberal views (for the time, they were still very conservative). The only major war the Kistolian Kingdom got into was the Great War, when it collapsed early on due to civil unrest.
The nation which passed through was The Dutchy Empire, which had joined the war only to lose in 1911. Poverty was increasing as “Forest Camps” (Disguised name for concentration camps) were created, and took in many minorities, including the Pecians. In 1924 the Dutchy Empire entered a war with Vardarsku, with an eventual loss (no specific dates yet, the Vardarsku war is still in worldbuilding). After that, The entire country was mad, the Ethnic Kistolians for losing the war (along with poverty), and minorities like the Pecians for being mistreated even worse during the war. Eventually, in 1950, a civil war broke out, many Slavic Minorities in the South East formed Slavitsa, and the Germanic cultured Kistolians formed Kistolia, New Sebronia joined the fight in 1952, and supplied the rebellions, along with fighting in the war. The war lasted until 1954, when a treaty was signed, splitting The Dutchy Empire in two, Pecia, and Kistolia. The borders were like this until 1984, when a conference happened, and created the Kistolian Union (a merger Union between Pecia and Kistolia). And finally, Kistolia joined the Sekidean Union in 2005.

Advance to Csatorna
As Shadoveilian armies have been confirmed to be pouring into the Plagyorasian border, movement of deployed Bakyernian military has been confirmed heading towards the port city of Csatorna.
Just as the Shadoveilian armies have begun their advance, the Bakyernian military has already made an advance targeted towards the port city of Csatorna still under Plagyorasian control in hopes of cutting off Plagyorasia from the world by capturing the country's only major port. Movement of rangers and marines has been confirmed by war journalists accompanying some units in the advance.
The advance is expected to take a few days to take over and occupy the coastal regions of Plagyorasia. Alongside that, more missile strikes have been confirmed to have been launched, but this time they're targeting the city of Csatorna. The current commander of the fleet in the bay claims that they are not purposefully targeting civilian targets, but are targeting military units and equipment that are inside cities and villages. The war has just begun and it is completely unknown how the response of the Plagyorasians will be sooner or later.

Kyapita, a means to our end:
Every engagement Qui Latine has had in Isshiki has been with the Kyapita faction. From the first battle in the wheat fields to those fought over the castle. Like any other group fighting against the Social Democratic revolutionaries in Isshiki, they were very poorly organized, hadn't made up their minds about a goal. They were not too against speaking with the Qui Latineans. Whenever they surrendered, conversations would break out about politics and why they were fighting. All these reasons added up; Seipor Basha wanted to speak with some of them himself, find some things in common so they wouldn't have to lose lives to no avail.
When he arrived on the 15th of April, many refugees belonged to the Kyapita group and ideology. They wanted to speak with the man in the upperclassmen's suit and understand why he looked over the fields so authoritatively; 'Why did he leave the comfortable palace to talk to former farmers about their political preference?' They thought. A scrawny boy, wearing navy blue overalls and a straw hat that hung low over the front of his face, stood tall in clear view of Seipor and asked, 'Do you want to talk or do you want to shoot?'. Basha glanced in his direction, 'I want to make peace with words, not guns; you and your families are the first steps.'
'Well, then why couldn't we have talked at first? Did your pride in your military get in the way?' asked the boy. Seipor stepped closer, 'There was something in the way of our mouths, either the bullets that flew towards us first or the sharp glances that froze our people with a cold look of men playing professional poker.'. He lifted his hat so he could make eye contact, 'I understand now, so we had to bud heads a bit to understand each other, yes?'. Basha nodded, 'I ask of all you, what made you want a new government and what motivated you to take action?'.
The boy looked at Seipor calmly, 'We spent day after day farming, even I a young boy had no rest. I'm sure it isn't like this anywhere else; my family and I wanted help from the government. We also wanted to work with other farmers; Convinced their business was more important than other's well-being that struggled like them didn't want to; They didn't want to improve together. We wanted to.'.
Basha nodded, 'So you wanted the government to help people get together to improve their lives? It doesn't sound like such a terrible idea, so why didn't the government try to do that?'. 'Even they didn't have the budget to go through with something like that. Money was a roadblock for them time and time again. We think that they spent too much time worrying about urban folks rather than us.' said the boy.
'Perfectly reasonable, now how would you feel if someone like Qui Latine was helping you through that?' Basha enquired. 'I know Qui Latine. You are some communist utopia with fake presidents and unruly authoritarians that spin one thing out of control for another theatre to grow. We'd surely suffer through the corruption and how you lose sight of things while one goal is important enough to focus so hard on.' said the boy. Seipor looked past the boy's shoulder out into the palm forest, 'We try our best, our economy is at the same state as yours, only if Qui Latine helped you, you wouldn't have to worry about lack of cooperation. Soon, we won't face such one directiveness either, that was part of Khaled byn Corro's rule.'
'Well, I should hope you do better, and I think you will. It's just a matter of convincing the rest of us.'
'I think I already have.' Basha said, looking around at all the faces, which stared at him eagerly. 'Your people will receive our help on one condition. You will not fight the social democrats in Isshiki any longer; But from this decision, you earn our protection and our resources.'. He looked out to them, 'What do you say?'.
The crowd applauded him as if to say, 'Of course, for such a charming man.'. Once this started, the soldiers saluted the people and pledged their allegiance to those who want to receive Qui Latinean assistance. When the clapping stopped, an event was held to help the people form a union together. They chose to make a flag for their people; Not for a state but an ideology and a party; A green similar to the Isshiki flag but less saturated, a black rose in the middle to signify their allegiance to the Qui Latinean socialists.

Reasons why I'm a good RP councilor: I'm active basically everyday; I can be reached through telegram and Discord at anytime between 4-12 hours a day on any given day if you need help. I want to help; just like I already said, I want to help people do their roleplaying and so you shouldn't feel hesitant to contact me if you want help or need to pass something by that you think might be iffy. I know what is and isn't realistic, I can get a good feel for what is and isn't realistic and how to fix it. I know about the Anteria Lore; I’ve been in Anteria since last August and since then have immersed myself and learned about the lore of the region. I can help fit your nations culture, history and other aspects to help fit into the lore so that you can have an accurate and unique nation to have in the region.

A little bit on Halsuntria: Halsuntria is an island nation located in Southwest Anteria in Caleren. It has four distinguished cultures, Gent, Kesgonter, Hen (& Oufrey) and Fuvern (being similar to Nganasan/Nenets, Sami, Mari/Chuvash, and Romanian respectively, essentially Russian minorities and some Romanians. It is ruled by an Oligarchy and leans pretty far right on the political spectrum. It's history starts in late 1000's BC from tribes and eventually some Khaganates that formed. It later devolved into utter chaos for the medieval time period as bush wars raged across the country for millennia from 400-1400 AD. It then calmed down a bit in the 1500's as tribes just did their own thing before Krenyan colonizers came in the late 1600's and left 30 years later from oppressive rule. It wouldn't be until the 1730's that the Oligarchy was formed and from then on Halsuntria's history has been pretty straight forward getting involved in the Great War and other global and regional events while developing into a regional superpower for the Caleren continent.
About Myself (If you insist): I’m currently in school right now. I play a lot of sports including Hockey, Basketball, and Football. I live in the great state of Alaska and I have been for a combined 8-9 years and have as well spent some time in Virginia. I’ve been worldbuilding for roughly 3 years, most of it through handdrawn maps and character lines, but I now use IIwiki for most worldbuilding since I joined Anteria and it’s a great tool for all Anterians to use. I am half-Indigenous from the Yup'ik Tribe and I like to learn about different cultures around the world including some of the lesser-known ones that inhabit Halsuntria as well as Siberian, Australian and American Natives, and many others.

According to inside sources within the Syndicalist Union of Vescarium, tens of thousands of Syndicalist militants have begun entering the country illegally through Kiyortzaand regrouping with existing left-terror militias in the southwest. Representatives have told us, brave workers, that the liberation of Vescarium is near, and that the recent formation and relative success of the Chorețu Commune against the bloated armies of the new oligarchs have bolstered socialist morale even further. The Plagyorasian regime is already facing two fronts, and it seems that the time is ripe for a third to be opened against them.
Retreat from the Border
Breaking news from the developing Plagyor situation; Shadoveilan and Bakyernian troops have successfully driven many Plagyor units away from the border, with some non-Plagyor units having allegedly defected. This retreat was orderly according to the state, but war analysts have already pointed out severe equipment deficiencies in the far south of the front. Amidst the desert heat and isolation, though, the counterargument has been made by representatives of the Royal Defense Corps that this is to be expected. Regardless of this, it seems ad-hoc defensive positions have been erected further inland, and the Council has given no indication of yielding, even against this immediate enemy advance.

As of 3:45 PM GST (UTC-4) a state of military hostility exists between Gassasinia and forces of the unrecognised State of Plagyorasia.
Forces from 1st Regiment, 3 (GA) Air Assault Brigade and 2nd Battalion, Long Range Desert Patrol Regiment have been mobilised from positions in western Shadoveil in support of Bakyernian and Shadoveillian coalition forces. Gassasinian forces aim to eliminate targets of strategic importance in the field in support of coalition advances into Plagyorasian-occupied territories.
A series of combined ground and air-based special forces have successfully penetrated Plagyorasian lines and are currently raiding an identified biochemical weapons stockpile on the border with Shadoveil. Although there are currently no confirmed Gassasinian casualties, stiff pockets of resistance remain inside the east-wing of the compound, currently pending coalition air-support.

Hi, i am Nef and i would like you to vote for me (though not a must, you can vote for anyone as its your choice) as the New Roleplay councillor of Anteria but first a bit of context, if you may,
I am, in charecter i.e in the roleplay, a nation known as the Grand Duchy of Krenya, which is as per many other nation's lack of luck an neo-feudalistic Constitutional parliamentary monarchy, located in southern thaudia, headed by its Duke as its Executive and the Royal parliament, The Grand duchy of Krenya is purely a monarchist state but with, elections!, yes you heard me right, elections in a neo-feudalistic society. But believe me, "you havent seen nothing yet girl", The History of Krenya is even more interesting, as it's origin wasnt even in the place where it is currently located, the krenyans or Kren's people were first descendents of the Kreniyari, who were tribals who lived in the central thuadian deserts in the 1st and 2nd centuries, unable to bear the extreme conditions they migrated to southern thuadia, where the climate was much more relaxed, they settled and expanded and subjugated several other native tribes...some are even found to this day, to form a stable civillization over the next couple of centuries, eventually leading to the formation of the Duchy of Krenya in 1200 CE, however, rather sadly.. over the next 300 years almost all of eastern and southern krenya execpt the northern and western parts of krenya fell under the dominion of the qazhs and kentalians which the krens were only able to reconquer in the 1560's and become whole again.
Over the next two centuries krenya started to rapidly increase trade and commerce with the southern thismarian nations and was able to form several colonies which included current day Blechingia, lyonheimer, abjekistan, Halsuntria and Encessia. However Krenya lost it all by the 1930's due to economic and diplomatic isolation, collapsing economy and civil unrest in the colonies. Modern day krenya has also fought wars like the Tiskai-krenyan border conflicts, the Qazh-krenyan five days war, and the Recent lisvonyan wars, though krenya has both suffered and gained much during its entire existence, but they still work together to face any challenges that they might face in the future.
Now about irl me, I am an indian, yes indian you heard that right.. i am known as nef and my irl name...yeah lets keep that a secret shall we. I believe in two main things in roleplay those are "Trust and Friendship" and yes dont forget consent... Never forget consent, so yeah thats me..i know i mess up sometimes and i havent been in the directorate once during my entire stay in anteria, but still i can guarrentee you one thing that is...I will help you no matter what, in roleplay even when i do this job or not. This job was a dream of mine.. to be able to help so many people and to set up the already wonderful roleplay of this region i.e my virtual home, so that was all..oh wait my strengths i almost forgot.
I have been in this region for over a year and its my first region, during my stay i learnt about both rp and wb, and i always try to improve and like people to point out my mistakes, i am pretty considerate so if you think i am wrong in any way you can always say that to me and i will try to rectify my mistakes, now on to my goals.
My goals:
1) I will make sure that no one makes any extremist ideological rp that glorifies any disguisting ideology or thought and will constantly work on removing such content from the server and region with the consent of the Director of Roleplay.
2) I will be a friend to you and will help you as much as i can in helping you to both roleplay and worldbuild with the joint support of the councillors and the honourary Dorp and the other experienced players of anteria.
3) I will try to curb and make the rp i.e roleplay as realistic as possible while maintaining the core values of roleplay which is acording to me, (fun) and will also make the WMD's, godmodding constant unrealistic wars as epicly rare as possible with the approval of the Dorp.
My end goal:

Anterians, new and old, Vultesia a.k.a @ThreeEagles here. For those of you who don't know me, I'm an RMB Moderator, Three Star Tribune Journalist and Roleplay Councillor, and it's for the latter role, that of RPC, that I'm standing for reelection. But why should you vote for myself, over the numerous other undoubtedly capable players vying for one of the very limited slots on the Roleplay Council?
Well, how about over three and a half thousand reasons? 3782, that's the word count of the comprehensive World Building documents I've created for players, detailing their IC (In Character) militaries, bringing a much needed semblance to realism in the region.Or another twenty or so more? 25 days, that's the length of the script and planning drafted by yourself truly, written for one of the regions best planned, executed and received conflicts in recent Anterian memory, the 2021 Lisvonya Conflict.
That's just a small sample of the many hours I've undertaken largely by myself to try and assist the members of this region during my time as an RPC; however a critical, and often overlooked part of being an RP Councillor is working as part of a team. While nominally, our work is done on a one to one basis, advising and instructing individual players, and policing 'god-modding' and other breaches in the rules, a huge part of our role occurs 'behind the scenes'. Since being elected to the Council I've served on the committee responsible for ensuring updated and current Roleplay Guidelines, lead script writing teams, and engaged in many other collaborative efforts and debates.
All these efforts have been for the Anteria, the region we all call home, but what can I do for you? Yes, you!
I've spoken both for and against players that have fallen foul of Anteria's systems and you can be assured, that should I be reelected, I will be an active and vocal proponent for what I believe is the correct course of action; I am -and with your votes will continue to be- a Councillor willing and ready to fight in your corner to the highest echelons of regional of the regional moderation team should I see it necessary.
A vote for me is a vote for dynamic, realistic and well written roleplay. A vote for me is a vote to continue on our trajectory away from moon bases, submersible aircraft carriers, and two dozen edgy, 1940's Germany clones, and towards a better environment for all, with gritty, realistic conflicts, accurate worldbuilding and events, civil discourse and an active, invested and empowered Roleplay Council.
•To continue the work and progress set in motion in my previous term, working on reviewing and enhancing our RP guidelines, and empowering the RP directorate.
•To ensure that RP rules are applied fairly and reasonably across all players on both the site and the discord. Giving all players both advice when needed, or an advocate if necessary.
•To continue to provide an open and impartial knowledge base to any who wish to make use of it. Whether you're wanting to know how the coming of Christianity affected your nation centuries ago, or how many main battle tanks your armoured corps should field, I'm happy to help.
•To remain an advocate for realism and consent, both on and off the RMB and Event Discord, ensuring that the region continues to run smoothly, and improve every day.
The previous three months have been a blast for me, and I couldn't have done it without my fellow councillors, our director, and our higher moderation team. I'd like to thank them all, and wish those of them standing for reelection the very best of luck.

A little bit about myself. I'm a returning NationStates player, who last actively RP'd nearly five years ago. Some months ago however, being housebound following the Covid-19 pandemic saw my love of writing, coupled with no small amount of boredom bring me back to the site, and within a few days, I'd settled in Anteria, where I've remained since, involving myself deeply in regional services such as the RP Council, and the newspaper.
I'm a proud Welshman currently serving in the British Army. My work has taken me to a great many countries, and seen me interact and work with with a great many people from all over the world. I try to bring as much of this military, cultural amd human experience to Anteria as I can.
King Mujkic V Passes away, last remnant of royal family removed, Alzal to become full republic?

The royal house today has announced that King Mujkic V, the current king of Alzal, has passed away at age 102. He reportedly passed away after a stroke in his sleep and peacefully went to Jannah after which. Mujkic was the only child of his father, King Mujkic IV, and had no children himself. As his wife, Queen Sabic II, died during childbirth, and her child died only two days later. Mujkic never remarried, and as such had no heir. Not only this, but Mujkic also was the last person in the Mujkic royal family, and with his death, the monarchy has ended. At 11:30, the royal guard fired a twenty-one gun salute, in honour of Mujkic V. The Parliamentary Assembly, and High Representative Redžep Muratović has announced that, as the monarchy has ended, Alzal will become a Federal parliamentary constitutional republic, but that the buildings in use by the monarchy will stay in control of the royal fund. In an interview, he said that "...I am completely heart shaken, Mujkic V was like a father to not only me, but also the entire country...". The funeral is scheduled to take place after Ramadan, on the fifteenth of May. Foreign heads of state are invited, as is the Alzali population.

Just a bit of advice:
Things like genocide should be handled very carefully. We've recently had a spate of poorly-planned and vapid civil wars and war crimes which have been poorly handled, and a lot of people are sick of stuff like that. Recreating a real-life massacre does not help. Especially when you're throwing around these huge statistics in the thousands in a matter of /literally/ an hour.
I would advise speaking to Vultesia about military actions. However, as it stands, a lot of people are fed up with civil wars and it might be best even to find something else to do.
Stafen v. Walter in Elections
As the elections continue and June 2nd is closing in, the debates between Stafen and Walter will begin. The nation will hear what both nations are really about.
So far, Stafen seems to be ahead of Walter, with the majority of Bakyernian municipalities who are right-leaning showing supports towards him and the LKP while Walter's support seem to be appearing mainly in urban areas that are liberal or left-leaning. In southern municipalities, other political parties such as the Free Platform and the Liberal Party have been gaining some traction, but not enough to threaten the main president candidates.
But so far, Stafen is in the lead and is expected to stay that way up to the election in June 2.
