It seems if that is the luxury criminals have, then wouldn't his economy suffer greatly? And also, wouldn't prisoners want to commit more crimes, if this is their punishment?

I wouldn’t call it a punishment.

In Herhai they’re executed, and their families put into slavery.

My cat's safe and sound. She's just resting on the ceiling...

Here, it's either prison time, or they pay out there sentences in forms of work! They have jobs like, sewage workers, rice planting and tilling, and basically they do any gritty work.

Even with an economy as good as yours, I doubt life could be the luxurious.

So “a wide screen 60 in smart TV with access to all websites and games
a gym
access to phone
laptop
working their job (note there is a fact that some of the prisoners check (10%) will go to supply the prisoners with amnenities)
3 high quality meals a day
AND access to video games and news in a common area” is much, much worse than normal life? An average Pigeonstani must be quite the idol.

working their job-
3 high quality meals a day
AND access to video games and news in a common area.”
