But okay.

Good, then it shouldn't be too hard to chill.

Yeah, your Governor sounds like a real piece of work. People like that never leave power. I hope ur family stays safe, my friend

Hey Lerasi, just as a side question, would it be ok if I built an AOS branch office in your territory? Branch offices organize AOS activities in a region, and also recruit people. A branch office means more trade between the two of us, but you keep neutral in the war I’m in, cause the AOS don’t care about hostile forces, they care about profit. you know, I feel like there are AOS ships trading with felter right know that had to barge through a naval blockade cause they wanted to sell scrap.

Thanks Dreamer, hope my family and I are safe too.

The Governor not only is a "piece of work", he's a total asshole, I don't even know why people voted for him.

Next thing he'll say is "Oh no, you can't make me resign, you guys elected me, this is democracy" while he makes the island's government more corrupt.

Danté debates just leaving right then and there. He looks to Esk for a second before sighing. "Sorry about my friend there. Shall we go?"

OOC: Danté just needs something in his life that needs him as much as he needs it. Main reason for his instinct to help Esk's mom before she died.

Pretty much what I've read and seen, yeah. I live in countries with quasi-dictatorships and I've lived thru periods of armed protests in the street. It was scary and I was never a participant.

I hope he gets dealt with quickly and punished for his crimes before innocent people get hurt taking him down.. Keep us informed, I'll check up every day i'm online. Is he quite popular in PR, btw? Or did he win by bribing, twisting arms and the usual political way they do in small nations where democratic elections can be messed with?

Esk pokes her head out for a moment and squeaks, forgetting Dante's question entirely. "There's snow and trees. Can I go in the snow mum? Can I?"

He was popular in PR just because he was a candidate of a pro-statehood party, and statehood is really popular in the island, I even remember him literally crying just because he lost votes in some municipalities. People here are naive sometimes (not insulting them).

But after winning the election, he became a quasi-dictator, I agree that he should be dealt with and be punished.

Hmm. Makes it worse when they're popular. Harder to get rid of. I was sure the Syrians would get rid of Bashar Al Assad within the first year of protests. That conflict has caused so much suffering and taken so many lives, displaced so many : ( But your sitn is diff. You're sitting next to the continental USA, if sitns get bad, I hope the US govt will step in. I highly doubt they'll let a governor just shoot multiple citizens in the streets. But let's hope it doesnt come to that

He was popular in a good way, but he's now popular in a bad way.

So I'm pretty sure it would be easy.

Dantè walks over to a small pile of snow and sets the pot inside of it. He sits next to the pile all smiles.

Esk squiggles up the side of the pot, wobbles for a moment and falls into the snow. She makes little tunnels until she seems hardly able to move, then says "I think I need back in the water now mum."
