Eh. It was partially a prompt to everyone else involved to post in it. I would, but Joe is best used sparingly.

This RMB needed it.
Facy Thalasi
Now I'm interested in Super Two: Cape Punk Boogaloo. Now with an airbending hit man.
Post on the RMB for your daily dose of starch!

At last, my Safety stat is back up to non-abysmal levels!
And in less time than I was expecting.
Now to root out all the corruption and authoritarianism it took to get back to that point...
Eh?
Have any of you guys gotten that new issue "the enemy within"? I read about it and I'm excited for when it comes my way so I was curious. :)

BREAKING: CC&U RATED FASTEST GROWING BANK OF ALL TIME
WILL CONKLITE: "Welcome to Sixty Seconds, this is your host Walter Conklite. The banking institution of Cecil, Carlos, and Ulysses, better known as CC&U, has been the scene of an incredible financial rise, going from the twenty-seventh richest bank in Thalasus to the fifth within the course of a few years. They also have been a disrupter, making waves in the financial community and making themselves the epicenter of a massive financial growth. Today, we have an interview woman at the center of this meteoric growth, the chairwoman, president, and CEO of CC&U, Mrs. Rita Isaura. Thank you for joining us today, Rita."
RITA ISAURA: "Thank you for having me here today William, it is a pleasure to be here."
CONKLITE: "So, tell us the story of CC&U. How did this insane rise happen? What is your secret?"
ISAURA: *laughs* "Well, I can't tell you the whole story, obviously. That's my bread and butter, right there. What I can tell you is that we have been innovative with our investments."
CONKLITE: "What do you mean by that?"
ISAURA: "We took a bunch of risks that other businesses and banks considered at the time to be, well, unfashionable. There were certain investment strategies that were done, and ones that simply weren't."
CONKLITE: "And this worked for you?"
ISAURA: "It's worked for the entire country, William. We thought outside of the box, particularly with our investments in Yevraziyskaya rus, for example."
CONKLITE: "Well, not investing there would make sense, right? I mean, there has been some tensions between Thalasus and the socialist government there."
ISAURA: "That was the prevailing economic thought for a long time. But now, our investments have nearly doubled in value, and other Thalasi banks are following through. It's clear to me that the future of Thalasus depends on this kind of innovation."
CONKLITE: "Very interesting. I'm afraid that's all the time we have left for today. Thank you for being here, Rita."
ISAURA: "Thank you, William."
CONKLITE: "Up next on Sixty Seconds: the nuclear bomb. Science fiction, or certain future? Physicists from Farbanti State University weigh in with their research."
Two more endorsements before I actually become my official position!! :P

Also, did a thing with the soopers/"Empowered" Rp on the Offline Forums.
We deny everything.
Looking over that now. Gotta catch up on that.
Although having refreshed I see there's another one.
Even though Ashton has looked over these I feel like I have some kind of obligation to comment now since I'm vaguely co-running it.
So I think I mentioned this earlier for an idea to raise the minimum wage while making it illegal for cooperation to raise prices. Thalasus thought it was a bad idea but how So? By making it illegal to raise prices in response to the minimum wage rising why would this be bad? This would give people more money to spend and honestly don't care about the wealthy 1% of Allouxia. They have enough money
Well I mean...look at Venezuela. That's what they did, and now they don't have jack on the supermarket shelves.
If you had a lot of central government control over areas of investment, that would be one thing, but you're sort of doing a half-assed and overly simplistic transition towards that. If you raised the minimum wage and then set a range within which prices could be raised, with various inducements for them to stay towards the lower end of that range rather than the latter (e.g. some sort of sliding scale of tax forgiveness), that would incentivize the behavior you wanted while allowing for companies which simply couldn't afford that under any circumstances to raise their prices accordingly and make up any shortfall with higher-priced (but not black-market levels of higher-priced) goods.
Of course, you could redistribute much more effectively (since that seems like your goal) by instituting a universal basic income while taxing marginal levels of income progressively higher. But that would be unpopular, so you'd have to provide some quid-pro-quo.
Essentially what I'm saying, and what I think he was saying, was that you were approaching this policy goal in a very hamfisted sort of way. I don't think your goal is bad, but certainly your means of accomplishing that goal definitely require a lot more nuance.
