-What is the World Assembly and why should I join it?
The World Assembly, often abbreviated as "WA", is the NationStates equivalent of the real-world United Nations.
Vote on game-wide legislation: World Assembly member nations are able to vote on resolutions that reach the floor of the General Assembly and Security Council, thus allowing you to participate in determining game-wide legislation.
Endorse other nations: WA nations may endorse (similar to social media "likes") other nations in the same region as them.
Write WA resolutions: WA nations with 2 (two) or more endorsements may submit WA resolutions of their own for the entire game to vote on.
Bolster the strength of your region: The more endorsements our delegate, East Durthang, has, the larger the weighted delegate vote in the World Assembly is, granting us more influence over international WA affairs. Furthermore, the more endorsements our leadership holds, the more difficult it is for hostile forces to seek to invade or disrupt the stability of our home.
Become a Pacifican Vanguard: Nations who endorse our delegate receive the title Pacifican Vanguard, are featured on this list, and are eligible for exclusive rewards, such as custom nation banners.

How do I join the World Assembly?
Follow the following five simple steps to get started in the World Assembly. If you need help, click on the spoiler sections to reveal screenshots of each step.

As a part of the Pacific, you and every other Pacifican have the right to apply for NPO citizenship, and gain access to greater participation within the diverse activities and community of the region.
Benefits of Becoming a Citizen
This will present the opportunity to choose one or more specializations in the region's government and gain access to more engaging aspects of the region and what it has to offer.
You will gain access to the internal proceedings of the New Pacific Order and membership in the Body Republic, which allows you to propose changes or new ideas that may aid in the regional direction in the future.
Joining the forum leads to the path to the forumside roleplay community as well as the gameside roleplay community.
Becoming a Citizen grants you to access our private Discord channels.

Having probably heard about New Pacific Order's Discord server, either from your fellow Pacificans or from simply reading the regional page or dispatches, you might be wondering how to join it. Or not, if you are already a proficient Discord user, simply skip every step until the one where the server link is posted.
Now, for those unaware,
Discord is a communication app available in browser, PC app or mobile format that allows its users to form large organized communities. These communities are called servers, in most cases, and each one has its own specific organization and set of rules and moderators. Getting Started with Discord
The first step would be to make an account in Discord itself. While not necessary to utilize server it is usually recommended due to ease of reusability and practicality. An account is absolutely free and simply unlocks a lot of features that a guest user might not have. Simply go to

You'll inevitably be prompted to confirm your email, so simply check your inbox.With your account registered you now have a few options. You can choose to do one of them, or even all of them. You can open Discord on your browser, download and install the application or download the mobile app. Any of them will work for the purposes of this tutorial, though the PC app is more flexible in terms of functionality (use of one platform does not exclude the use of others).

Jacen Kastareon is the commander of the permanently-stationed Pioneers forces on the island of Kastareia, the only son of Lady Jina Kastareon, and the former heir to House Kastareon. A tempered man with no political ambitions of note, he was removed from the house succession after his younger sister's Oath of Citizenship. He has spent his time ranging the island of Kastareia in his capacity as the commander of Kastareia's Frontier Force, the permanent detachment of Expeditionary Forces and Elyreian Pioneers that have been settling the island of Kastareia and making the wild forests more tame for his people.
Personal Life
Jacen was born as the first son of Lady Jina Kastareon and husband Major Sorven Tartigar. The famously fiery red hair of the Tartigar lineage came out in spades in the young Jacen, and his temperamental childhood made many believe his fiery spirits was going to be one to contend with growing up. As House Kastareon were still relatively new and being established on the island of their namesake, Jacen was instead tutored by House Vaelans in New Volaria. While he was too young to be a peer with the future Princess Kaerys II, Jacen grew up to be good friends with the young boys Koren and Korus Vaelans, who were much closer to his age.
Jacen and Koren in particular became inseparable friends, and Jacen would often go with the boys to Vaelanstone for holiday or vacation. When some children began to make fun of the more diminutive Korus for their more introverted lifestyle and love of music and arts, Jacen was always the first to the young boy's defense. Jacen's rambunctious personality was always a driving force in their antic, and he often pushed to include Korus in their shenanigans.
When he became a teenager, Jacen returned to be schooled in Fort Kaerys full time, though he kept correspondence with the Vaelans boys throughout schooling. During his service in the Youth Pioneers, a terrible storm struck the islands and devastated remote communities in Kastareia. Public records do not indicate what Jacen saw during rescue and recovery efforts, but he came back a humbled young man, and immediately re-enlisted to the Pioneers full time upon his Oath of Citizenship.
Disinheritance and Distinguishment
Jacen dedicated themselves to the Pioneers, and after many discussions with family and friends, requested that he be removed from the House Kastareon line of succession in favor of his younger sister, Jina. The request was eventually granted, generating rumors and casting suspicion and doubt on the young man in many noble circles. Free to pursue his own path in life, Jacen fully dedicated himself to the Pioneers, and steadily climbed the ranks through hard work and distinguished acts.
Owing to the small size of the permanent Pioneer presence in Kastareia and his position as the eldest of the Kastareon children, Jacen was eventually given responsibilities in the Pioneers themselves when Lady Jina created the Kastareon Frontier Force, which would act as a local command structure for military and paramilitary forces on the island. He has taken to his duties with a somber seriousness, and under his guidance infrastructure projects have been completed in record time granting utility and service access across the island by ground transport. While Kastareia's forces are small in number, the large area they must cover with their smaller numbers means they are some of the most motorized and mechanized groups in Elyreia outside of the military itself.

Jina Kastareon is the only daughter of Lady Jina Kastareon, and the current regent and heir to House Kastareon. Following her brother's disinheritance, she became the heir to House Kastareon shortly after taking her Oath of Citizenship. She has spent her years since learning politics and governance, with a focus particularly on the Kastareon belief of serving the people as public figures rather than simple ruling over them. Along with her brother, the Kastareon children are seen as exemplars who uphold the ideal of being noble, both as an adjective and a noun.

The past few years she has served as an assistant to her mother, Lady Jina, in order to learn the ins and outs of rulership and dealing with other noble houses, as well as learning of the various duties and responsibilities it would entail.
Civil War and Regency
When the Elyreian Civil War broke out, Jina's uncle was captured with other members in the Lenton that refused to acknowledge House Torhed's regency and attempted coup. With a member of their family held hostage, House Kastareon refused to make any announcements or movements for or against the government, and instead offered to maintain the Princely Elyreian Navy, which had also not chosen any sides and set anchor off the Kastareian coast due to their own neutrality.
House Kastareon would provide aid and succor to those fleeing the mainland, and helping humanitarian aid ships to navigate the reefs around the entrance to Volaria Bay. After the lenton's liberation and the formation of a Lenton Levy and "Loyalist" government to fight the Torhedists, House Kastareon remained neutral in the war still, being very quiet about their decisions or thoughts about the war. It was eventually revealed that this was due to Lady Jina I going into intensive end-of-life care, and that the younger Jina had taken over as Regent for the House.
